Welcome to my art blog! Hobby illustrator and concept artist, learning animation. I love creatures and ancient art. Not actually an ancient elf cyborg...unless?

End of discounted commissions & other information

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for the interest over my discounted commission window. I am now officially closing them! If you have contacted me before regarding a slot, worry not, you will still be charged the discounted price. However, anyone contacting me from now on will have to pay my regular commission prices.

I will still be taking commissions if asked, and the funds will still be going to charity, I have no plans to end donating as of now.

I would also like to warn of potential delays, as I have little free time and a considerable backlog of things to draw now because so many if you joined the effort! Am doing my best to catch up in my limited amount of time. Thank you so much everyone :)

I'm being encouraged by you all to post some unpolished stuff, so have this drawing I made when I finished the Liveship Traders books! Feat my favorite pair.

Sometimes a friendship can be a sentient bipolar mutilated boat with a history of violence & some artsy weirdgirl that looks at him longingly. Love is love <3

Anonymous asked:

please more oc stuff and i need seeing other ppls beautifully drawn ocs to live (the tiger. the tiger. HIM BIG!!@!!)

The tiger is called Rakkan, he's my Morrowind player character! He's an ex-Goon (think, bouncer, or cartoon large guys flanking the big baddie) who got picked off from a life of ageing petty criminal in the big city to go be sent to some prophecy bullshit. I have a LOT of art of him as I've been drawing him regularly since...2015 I believe...damn... You can check out my tag for him and his page on ToyHouse for a full bio!

I don't have unposted art of him asides of this unfinished bust I'd started before the last one I posted became the final on that particular file

and a forgotten file from 2021 according to file properties where I tried to do a portrait of him, which does not look very good and might be deleted soon haha. Under cut

Sorry y'all, I've been meaning on and off to make an official post about this but a TLDR

  • My day job has shitty hours & I don't get to see my friends a lot because of it, making me sad and unmotivated
  • I've lost a LOT of my love for art, due to professionalisation and my own issues with perfectionism
  • Spent months of art on projects I can't share here that are very important to my life
  • Been spending my free time reading an ungodly amount of pages of various things

I have to wrangle myself back into shape and I hope to be posting regularly again! I check my notes nearly every day and read all your comments <3 I don't get many asks but if you ever wanna chat with me I'm available, I've just not been drawing much and......posting like 1% of what I draw at this point hahaha

My barbarian Nerevarine Rakkan, depicted here dressed to fight to entertain an Ashlander crowd.

While his race can be an obstacle to interacting with more remote parts of the island, Ashlanders are Rakkan's favorite denizens of Vvardenfell due to an appreciation for their justice and laws. And that they don't try to treat him completly like a pawn.

The Beyond Skyrim: Iliac Bay project is looking for volunteer voice actors for its Abecean Isles region! Find below a link to their explanatory document with all the information you need to know before applying.

If anyone reading this matches the required skillset, this is a great opportunity to participate in a large, intricate modding project.

Beyond Skyrim is both open to beginners and with a high quality standard, and represents a solid way to get a first experience working in video game creation, with many of our members later becoming professionals using their work done on the teams as part of their portfolio.

Iliac Bay is still looking for voice actors! Finding actors for female Redguard characters is an ongoing struggle and it's one of the few remaining things standing between them and a released mod right now.

This is likely the final voice acting call for the regions they've been working on. Find more details on the characters they need voiced in this Reddit post. And have some relevant screenshots too :)

Quick reference for Ma'Jahrann, without and with patterns to show better her colors. While I often stylize her coat in art, the stylization isn't top accurate, so I thought I'd explore a more realistic take. On the pictures she's without her "hair" to show how the patterns work on her skull. For most of my Khajiit, the color of their head of hair just matches the coat underneath, it's the case for Ma'Jah.

Her braids follow her skull most of the way back and the main hairstyle I draw her with has five braids (two on the cheeks, three on the head) that follow her stripes. This is what they'd look like doodled on top of the mannequin here:

I typically draw them fully red, but a more accurate detailing would include golden or even white strands in the mix where the pulled hair is between the darker stripes! Also, here's how it's done:

The hair is parted and braided, after during which some weatherproof extensions are added to the very end of the braid. This is all tied together with a tight knot. The reinforced end is slipped into the piece of jewelry and looped over, and that loop (mostly extension) is then tied strongly, hiding the original tight knot and binding it all together.

This makes for a style that's long lasting and preserves her mane from the weather, dust etc of the outsides air. The obvious downsides is the effort: it takes a long time to set up and she can't do it herself! Once it's on, it can last for months and only needs to be redone when her roots have grown too long for the braids to sit nicely. When it's time to redo, the tip of each braid is cut and the jewerly reused. Hers are metal disks that look like moons.
