“there are several reasons why the horror genre declined – in both quality and popularity – at the tail end of the 1930s & into the 40s. firstly, the narrative conventions became so well established that they appeared formulaic and predictable, especially when the same-old same-old monsters were put into rotation time and time again. then, political strife curtailed a lot of european filmmaking. thirdly, movies with supernatural, violent, science fiction or fantasy elements became a target for literal-minded censors, who were concerned that the masses might believe or, still worse, imitate the horrors they witnessed on the silver screen.”

I love when fanfic authors are freakishly unhinged. "Yes, hello, I am here to write a heart wrenching story about relationships and mortality. My medium is Ducktales (2017)"

Hospital set in Columbo’s “Forgotten Lady” (1975) and The Rockford File’s “In Hazard” (1976). I don’t know if the set was built for either show, but Rockford will make recurring use of it through the next couple of seasons.

Note the sconces in the Columbo cap? Reused from the previous hospital set in “A Deadly State of Mind”

Rockford and Columbo starting redressing the set for other uses including a hotel hallway/room

and a CPA’s office hallway in Columbo

Good ole hospital set.

I was looking up some random actor in this rockford and the second pic, from Manimal (1983)

yeah I think we’re still recycling the same hospital set!

No fucking way
