Since S3 is meant to bring a "milestone ending." Literally so scared, who's dying, who's getting arrested, who's getting the "if we met under different circumstances," who's becoming a cautionary tale from going down the wrong path only to regret what their life became in the end or still finding it worth it because it was a beautiful lie, yeah you can see I'm still traumatized from previous seasons ALWAYS resolving side character arcs to be bittersweet. Lol yeah, LTC the guy who controls people but having no control of his life, so real of Vein to be paranoid about LTC being too close. That's super interesting to me actually, that Vein has principles and altho LX acts refined, I want to know whether *he* doesn't. We have yet to see hat boy at his worst. His songs are more insane than him so far lol. By "ditched twice" yeah that's fair, I just don't have high confidence that they won't be forced to leave him at some point, whether during the Dive or during a moment where XF is torn on what to do...kind of like the Halloween video, where they ran from him and his mask was taken off to show his true feelings...I know they had to go back to Guidu eventually, but they absolutely left immediately because CXS talked to his mom and Vein died and neither of them were sticking around further for that emotional aftermath. Whether it's rational or not, XF might read that as lying to him and running away. LG-XF dynamic is so complicated...CXS is so open and earnest, but it was LG who's words reached XF. I understand the shock of a normally quiet and stoic person saying something like that too. XF used to be one himself, so...maybe he sees something there. If LG was even being genuine.

Hiding in your inbox to express an opinion that will get me hunted for sport, but what if I dared to claim that Vein was actually a bad thing to happen to XF. What then. This is not too #Serious, because he brought a lot of joy to XF, protected him, helped him open up, etc. but he would not be on the verge of a corruption arc without Vein or at potential risk of getting murdered by the narrative. but he's a loyal sucker. I also acknowledge XF had no choice but to go into modeling for the money, but staying really changed him, both positively but................it's so hard to forget that he hates it, he always has to put on this persona for the cameras until it tires him out. That before Vein, the old XF would just be a diligent student. He called himself a nerd but now he's drawing in class and subjectively I like that he's less grumpy and depressed and acting his age for once but objectively...bro, are you still passing your classes? or are you too busy shopping and streaming?

I wonder if he had a dark side back then that would've taken shady jobs for cash......or if Vein encouraged the kind of XF the fandom calls a narcissist, who desires and hungers, "all I gotta do is pursue" and turns his nose up at people who aren't as talented as him...basically the kind of XF we get in every official Link Click song. Because that version of him keeps collapsing when he's drunk, or tired, or with ShiGuang. It all feels like cope. He doesn't see himself as beautiful, waves off all of CXS's compliments. I don't know if we'll ever see him as arrogant as in his songs, but that doesn't feel like something hidden in the old him at all. Some of it is because that attitude is how he "bites back" so one could say it was always there, but it wasn't. Not because he tolerated people being weird with him, but he was tolerant in the way that he would go still, try to exit, remain level-headed, and get physical once he hit his limit, and he'd always be direct with his words rather than flaunting. Same goes for the desire for material items, yet bilibili calls him a refined metrosexual. It kind of...makes me uncertain, how they call him a "pure STEM nerd" who had a "counterattack." You know that trope? Anime nerd gets a glow-up, etc. Wish there was a way for him to be what he wanted to be, getting basic respect and seen for being a good student over his beauty, but still warm that cold exterior so he can live a little and have some joy. Because it hurts knowing all that softness was buried in there and the social minefield of celebrity culture is what brought it out. Because once you're posing and putting on charming expressions, you can't bottle your feelings forever.

There was this caption on official promo that even asked whether XF's soul was good or bad after being contaminated from the flashing lights of the camera. And Vein with his fancy couch and manor, who clawed his way to the top from nothing, theoretically, would find it natural to desire better for oneself, but how much glamour can fill the emptiness in his heart? Like in map of dreams....the emerald prince has so much but the lore says he's always looking at the stars, searching for something. Is it controversial to say I feel ShiGuang would be better for him even if VeiFei fandom might think they're terrible and the sun coming out when LG called him a friend is bad? Because I think someone needs to snap him out of getting used to the rain of Bridon. Maybe I've been running into too many VeiFei smut arts on social media, not to mention most fics, but this whole opinion actually started because outside of ship fic, I couldn't see XF ever changing so much so as to sleep with Vein, to be seen as special and given confidence and security in having such a relationship, ignore what other people say and be proud. Is it really just a matter of trust? Because I thought we finally got a sex-repulsed/touch-aversive character in media...XF might walk in a murky grey area, but I think he would still draw the line here. He owns the rumors of sleeping with people by saying he only goes for the best, brings Vein into it, but when confronted by Jack over him using his looks in that way, he's mad. His defense is just putting on airs. Because the truth is that he still dislikes it I think...yeahhh, selling yourself VS doing it with someone you trust is different, so ig I just personally want to think of a XF who just had enough of people obsessed with his looks and prefers other ways of expressing love and care. Something real instead of admiring that "beautiful shell." *stares at PV song lyrics.* He can lend that to the lights, to plenty of eyes, but he can only lend his heart to...to anyone? Maybe one day. The Traveler has to see through the reality and illusion of the vampire and crack his mask, the reflections in the mirror...can you tell I read one too many fics of XF nuzzling everyone for sex, saw that one FeiShi fic where CXS affirms that XF doesn't owe anyone anything and it's okay if he can't give that to CXS because he's not ready/isn't into it/or even can't because of backstory reasons and went "huh."

Thinking about that person who said Vein owed LX a debt because he desires nothing, yet works with him anyways. We ofc also know that Vein is a casual person who does things for fun but with the allusions to LX potentially seeking Vein on his own/impressing him/maybe even doing something for him *cough his 2nd friend became the owner of the manor cough* and the beast/hunter thing going on with them, positioned kind of like equals (but I doubt it I mean, LX even placed himself above everyone in MOD) it makes me wonder what about LX has captivated Vein’s attention for so long, in such a close way…we don’t know anything about his personal relationship ofc but I feel LX and XF are odd cases. Eager to learn whether he’d ever show XF his true face and expect XF to stick around bc so far him and LX are being freak4freak. Concerned also that LX might write the VeiFei tragedy himself bc he won’t share the final boss stage but he doesn’t seem like someone to discard his “friends” after making use of them.
