Had this au idea of Celine and Miyeong in Joseon era, royal bodyguard x queen, forbidden love drama.
Celine and Miyeong were childhood friends in a modest village in the mountains. When Miyeong was 14 she was taken to the royal palace as a court maid, sold like cattle by Miyeong's aunt. Celine was 16 at the time, she took Miyeong and tried to run away together, but they were caught. Celine fell of a cliff after trying to dodge a killing strike from a guard, she plunged into the deep river. Miyeong sees Celine fall to her death, heartbroken as she was dragged away to the royal palace...
Celine somehow survived, scarred and on brink of death. she was rescued by a man (who happens to be a member of a secret org called Cheonsa). Celine pledges herself to the org, vowing vengeance upon the royal family. Celine disguised herself as a man, she trained to be an elite agent/spy...
5 years pass. Celine was given the assignment to infiltrate and spy closely on the royal family. She was assigned to be the royal bodyguard of the Queen, who has been acting suspicious as of lately. Celine was to gain trust and uncover the Queen's secrets, and to also keep watch of the King's movements and report and intervene accordingly with the org...
What Celine never expected was that her long lost friend Miyeong, was the Queen herself...
