When Ilya's first time bottoming feels lackluster, Shane worries he could've done a better job.

Shane doesn’t expect Ilya to come untouched, certainly not the way Shane did the first time Ilya fucked him, but he hopes Ilya can at least come from this.

He thinks he’s doing… okay. He’s not entirely sure, though. It’s all way too fucking technical from this side of things. When Ilya fucks him, he gets lost in it, his mind floating blissfully out of the room. But now that it’s Shane’s job to bring them both to completion, he decides there are way too many factors. He should really give Ilya some more credit. He’d probably let it go to his head though.

Shane’s muscles are straining as he snaps his hips forward. He doesn’t know if power or finesse is the route to go, but judging from the way the headboard is banging against the wall of their bedroom at the cottage, he supposes he’s opted for power. He knows he was hitting Ilya’s prostate at some point, but Ilya stopped talking him through it a bit ago, now only gasping and moaning into the pillow underneath him. Shane hopes he’s at least somewhat still on target.

It’s a stretch to reach around the front of Ilya’s body, but Shane needs to get a hand on him. He wants Ilya to come from this. He doesn’t want Ilya to feel like he’s just putting up with this for Shane to get off and then getting a blowjob as a consolation prize. No, he wants Ilya to experience this the way he does, like there’s no other feeling in the world to compare.

When Ilya accidentally cuffs him and Shane to the bed, there’s only one person in Montreal they can call to get the key.

~~

Shane is blissfully unaware of much of anything outside of Ilya Rozanov.

It’s his lips on Shane’s neck, his hard body pressing him into the bed, and his hands lifting Shane’s above his head. The soft click of the cuff being secured around his wrist is new, sending an exciting shiver through his body. If it was anyone other than Ilya, Shane might feel trapped and panicked, but Shane trusts his boyfriend with his whole heart.

There’s another click and Shane's arm feels even more strapped down. He frowns, reaching for Ilya with his free hand.

“Ah, fuck,” Ilya mutters before Shane can make contact.

That… was not a sexy curse. “Ilya?”

“Is fine,” he quickly says, his voice sounding tight. Shane is not reassured.

Shane is adamant he’s never been high, but Ilya remembers a loopy Shane in a hospital bed.

Ilya expected it to be quieter here.

Shane’s cottage is hours from any major city. It’s probably the most rural Ilya has been in his life. He thought without any sounds of traffic and people around him, he’d find a blissful silence, both in his mind and in his surroundings. Neither are necessarily true.

As he sits on Shane’s deck, the stars in the night sky shining down on him, he’s surrounded by the sounds of nature. The frogs and bugs are the loudest, all whining and croaking to create a constant chorus, but occasionally something splashes in the water and there are a few calls from that stupid loon that Ilya has secretly grown a little fond of.

He’s surprised all this noise is not enough to wake Shane. Then again, Shane is probably used to it. Ilya has never experienced this, not nature like this and not sleeping next to the man he loves every night this week.

He takes another puff from his cigarette, watching the smoke billow out in front of him as he exhales. He’ll have to brush his teeth before getting back into bed or Shane will know what he was doing out here. He’ll probably know anyway.

It’s why he doesn’t bother hiding the cigarette when he hears the door slide open behind him. He doesn’t turn around, but he smiles when he hears the pat of Shane’s bare feet on the deck.

“Can’t sleep?”

Ilya turns his head to look at Shane. He’s thrown his boxers back on, paired with a Boston hoodie of Ilya’s. He’d tease Shane about it if he were so fucking enamored by the sight. If the people could see Shane Hollander right now, in his underwear and a Boston Raiders shirt…

But no. This is only for Ilya.

Shane worries that their sex life might grow too boring for Ilya. He decides to try something new.

Boring.

It’s what Ilya has called him since the beginning. At first, Shane was annoyed by it. Fuck Ilya. Just because he didn’t like to sleep with half the city or go to clubs didn’t mean he was boring. But then sometime throughout the years, Ilya started saying ‘boring’ with a smile on his face or a twinkle in his eye. He said it like it delighted him, like Shane delighted him, and Shane decided it maybe wasn’t such a bad thing.

He wonders if that feeling will last. He wonders in five, ten years from now, if Ilya will decide boring isn’t such a good thing. He knows Ilya loves him more than anything, but he also knows Ilya has a past. One that’s much more interesting than Shane’s boring sex life. The most scandalous thing Shane ever did was fuck his rival and now that man is his husband, so not much trouble there anymore.

Ilya likes trouble.

The first night Shane spends in Ilya’s apartment in Boston reminds him of the last time he was asked to stay.

~~

“I’m just saying, I’m surprised you go out and shop like that. With people, you know. Seems like an easy way to get bombarded.”

Ilya’s brows creep up and a smile slides onto his face that turns Shane equal parts infatuated and apprehensive. “You think I am big deal?”

“Alright,” Shane dismisses, but Ilya is already on the move, crowding closer.

“You think I am superstar. Can’t walk outside my home without paparazzi.”

“Fuck you,” Shane says weakly as Ilya slides on top of him, gripping his wrists and pinning them to the pillow beside his head.

“Best player in the league,” Ilya continues on. His eyes sparkle only a handle of centimeters above Shane’s face, and Shane is sure his eyes reflect that same look back.

“You’re an asshole.”

Ilya grins like it’s the greatest compliment in the world, and then slowly releases Shane’s wrists. He’s quiet for a moment before cupping Shane’s cheek. “Yes, Shane. I went out and handpicked your ginger ale, okay?”

Shane has a lot of feelings about family after Ilya meets his parents.

Shane’s fingers find their way back to Ilya’s necklace.

He’s found himself reaching for the gold chain a lot, now that they’re allowed to bask in each other’s warmth. He runs his fingertips over the ridges of the cross before dropping his hand back to Ilya’s chest. He’s not sure if his boyfriend—Ilya called himself his boyfriend today—is asleep yet. His breaths are even and his hand has stopped tracing patterns on Shane’s shoulder.

It’s been a long, emotional day. Shane wouldn’t blame him if he was out already. The bedroom in the cottage is nearly pitch black and through the cracked windows, Shane can hear the occasional croak of a bullfrog. It’s a sound he always associated with his childhood. Now, the calls of nature out here only remind him of Ilya’s laugh.

TK Strand doesn’t get tongue-tied around hot guys. His work as a successful adult film actor would be pretty awkward if he did. That is, until newcomer Carlos Reyes joins the studio. Their immediate on-screen chemistry leads to a professional partnership that sizzles, and budding off-screen feelings might lead to something even better.

for @paperstorm, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!

Derek doesn’t mind going alone to the games, there’s enough action that he doesn’t need anyone to chat with, but it would be kind of nice to have someone nearby during the crazy plays. He watches the two dudes in front of him at the game this week. They both look roughly his age, one chowing down on a bag of popcorn and smacking the other’s hand away when he tries to dig in. Derek chuckles quietly. It reminds him of him and his brother.

As embarrassing as it is to admit to himself, Derek watches the two of them almost as much as he watches the game tonight. He feels like he’s in kindergarten, trying to figure out how to approach the cool kids on the playground.

Or, an outsider POV of TK and Carlos at a baseball game dude-broing it up

In a post-apocalyptic world, everyone knows to stay inside the camp and avoid the undead. Carlos used to live by the rules, but then he met TK. Now, when he watches TK smile at him, he wonders if everyone was wrong.

Carlos used to never like going past camp’s borders.

It meant a day of being vigilant and watching his back for both human and non-human dangers, though the former always scared him more. It meant a day of high adrenaline and higher stress, of his mother hugging him goodbye like she wouldn’t see him return that right. It meant an entire sector depending on him to return with something useful—medical supplies, baby clothes, non-perishables.

Now, Carlos has a reason to like his ventures beyond the armed gates.

As soon as they decided to bring home Jonah, they knew their time in the loft had an expiration date. As moving day approaches, TK and Carlos say goodbye to the first place that was truly theirs.

TK is losing his battle.

He’s in the middle of their half-barren bedroom, surrounded by a sea of Nike and Hanes. He can’t see the floor anymore. He’s pretty sure his family will find him suffocating in here within the hour. He yells this to Carlos, lost somewhere in the loft hopefully having better luck than TK is in the bedroom.

“What?” Carlos calls back, his voice sounding distant and half-attentive.

“I said you have too many socks!” TK groans.

He loves his husband with all his heart and soul, but who let this man inherit so many socks?

E // professor-student au // 55k // updates Tuesdays

It’s Carlos’ first year as a professor, the last thing he needs is complication, but when anonymous sexting on a dating app turns into realizing he’s been flirting with his student, the two of them can’t figure out how to stay away from each other.

G // 1.9k // established relationship

Early in their relationship, TK worries Carlos is cheating on him.

I need you to save me

TK drops his phone to his stomach after he sends the message and goes back to staring at his ceiling. He’s camping out in his room, not wanting to even come close to the situation happening in the living room. Being home with both of his parents is bad enough, but now Michelle is here too and she brought this guy she’s been seeing and it feels like a weird party of TK’s parental figures and bosses that he wants no part of. Their laughter floats to the second floor where TK has isolated himself, however, making him feel like he’s twelve years old and unable to fall asleep while his parents host their dinner guests.

And now his boyfriend isn’t answering his phone.

TK knows Carlos doesn’t work tonight, but they didn’t have any plans to meet up. It’s possible that Carlos made other plans, and TK doesn’t want to seem too clingy, but he also wouldn’t mind if Carlos was delighted to have him over.

Carlos. Booooooooored.

E // 70k // emergency room au

Halfway through his residency, Carlos needs to get out of Texas. New York City is as good as he could ask for and somehow more than he can dream of when he meets his new coworkers.

TK is content with his life. He’s an experienced EMT with a good group of friends, but when a new doctor shows up in the emergency room, TK starts to think about what he’s been missing.

Through sharing patients, relieving stress after shifts, and leaning on each other on the particularly hard days, TK and Carlos find themselves freefalling into something new, which might be the biggest lifesaver of all.

thank you @lightningboltreader for beta-reading!!
