Hello friends!! It's been.... a while. Not that I haven't had new stuff come out, but I've been missing WIP Weekends like a phantom limb. At first it was a break while I focused (RE: panicked) over my upcoming unemployment, but now I am officially without work (other than looking for work, that's a job in itself, holy hell), and I need something to do that isn't putting in more job applications.

hello fellow kids! Ok so, this week hasn't been an easy one for me, so this WIP weekend is more a "have fun and be yourself" thing than a productive thing. (I'm also not at home till sunday so no access to my laptop)

I have loved seeing so many tags on this, so as I steal @hbyrde36's banner and format because I don't have time to make one, here we go friends!! In 2025 I posted 340,722 words on AO3 through and hit 28 works, 27 of which are Stranger Things related, and I worked with the absolutely lovely and best platonic art wife a bat could ask for, @starthecozy on 7 works of art to go with them.

I was also very very lucky to have been brought into the @strangerthingswritersguild in June this year and, talk about a life changing experience ya'll -- such wonderful people turned fantastic friends.

It's been a fantastic year ya'll - and I'm not getting off this train any time soon. I have... so much in my head and Steddie will keep it's claws in me for a long time. I love those boys WAY more than I love the show.

Doubling up some stats too, in a way, because I also did the little cute form by SpicedRobot and I have been waiting to post it to see if I posted anymore before midnight, but... ba-bam!!

Giving myself a break. This year, I am/was in 17 events! That’s. That’s insane. I had so much fun this year though!

I also want to start reading more in my down time. This year, I read well over 230k words across a multitude of unique fics, favorited 2 new tags, and bookmarked 20 new fics!

This was the prettiest, most devastating love letter to the south I have ever gotten the pleasure of reading. Beware of the tags though. This was written in 2023 but I have carried it into 2026 with me 🧡

This is such a beautiful fic! If you’re into rural settings, and the boys coming back to each other like moths to a flame, then this is the piece for you!

I've been trying to work the courage to start posting my writing in English for so many years, I actually lost count. This year I finally did it! In 2025, I posted 15 works and a total of 29,088 words on AO3 which is still a shock to me. So, this is my year in review!

I have some other ideas that are cooking and that I hope will be posted or properly started. I really want to write some canon compliant Henderhop and work on Robin centered fics. But mostly I'll try to focus on the above fics and navigate the world of chaptered fics.

there's no way I can end this without thanking the @strangerthingswritersguild. I joined in September and since then this server became a place of learning, community, encouragement... The mods and everyone there became a big part of my year, of my daily life and of me as a writer. So thank you, guild and your pet assistants, I love seeing them.

I'd also like to thank @travelingtwentysomething. You were the first mutual I started interacting more with and you are truly an inspiration for me with your takes on ST, your posts and your way of being.

In 2025, I posted 5,161 words on AO3, a total of 5 works. I also wrote approx. 26 drabbles for the @strangerthingswritersguild 'Daily Drabble Prompts'. I started my Diane Harrington AU, with the help and encouragement of the lovely @spectrum-spectre, where I get to explore some delicious Harrington-family angst, drama, and some silliness too!

Something I am super proud of, which kinda just... happened on accident, is that I started dabbling with smut this December??!! AND I LOVE IT!! I am having so much fun with this new aspect of my writing, and I have plenty more to come hehe.

2025 year in review!

alright, so i might have fallen off doing my monthly word count roundups, but i still wanted to do one of these so i can look back on it later. i kind of stopped writing around halfway through the year, so the stats are pretty low compared to last year, but maybe next year i'll get back into it again? we'll see lol

first up is my ao3 wrapped! (template by @spicedrobot)

in 2025 i published 8 works to ao3, most of which were for some kind of event.

the ao3 total only includes published fics, so if we look to my spreadsheet, my actual yearly total word count is 18,809! have some graphs why not

as you can see, i wrote the most in may, when the spirit of steith possessed me and i cranked out almost six thousand words in like a week.

pretty much all of these stats are catastrophically lower than last year, especially considering i got burned out or depressed or something midway through and stopped writing entirely, but hopefully that just means that it's only uphill from here. here's to a more wordful 2026 🥂

In 2025 I posted 119,176 words on AO3 adding up to a total of 39 works. I managed to not only finish my first-ever multi-chaptered fic, but then proceeded to post three additional long-form fics throughout the year! Really felt like I was coming into my own as a writer this year.

Also started participating in some events and had a blast with the 2025 Steddie Big Bang, Switch Eddie Week 2025, and the Stranger Things Mermay Week. Can't wait to participate in a few more over the next few months!
