First Check-ins are now closed! The next milestone for the author is the Wednesday, January 28, 2026 11:59 PM (in your time zone) when the final story details are due so we can send them out for artist claims!
You will need:
1) relevant tags and pairings. There can be minor changes past this point, but you should have the major tags (rating, warnings, etc) pinned down
2) estimated length. This is important for matching you with an artist for art!
3) A working summary

Authors! Please email an preliminary outline of your work to [email protected] by EOD (end of Day) Jan 11th or you will be considered dropped from the event!
It does not have to be the final outline, but some indication of what you're considering working on.

So long as the story can be read without needing to read the previous story, it is allowed! If you also want to include a brief previously on, to cover your bases, as an additions, that is fine. But the story should not need it to be readable.
That was a mistaken addition on the first line, unfortunately. There is no formalized beta matching this year.
