No exaggeration I think that’s gonna be the most emotional climax in the whole show. And they have been building up to it like crazy. Not only Syd keeps telling everyone BUT Carmy about it. But Carmy made that dish as a way to reaffirm himself, it was literally his heart on a plate at the lowest point on his life. And who got that dish and like it? Sydney Adamu, the girl that is also the person that he admires the most in the whole world.

That scene alone is the core of the whole show. It’s the proof that Carmen and Syd were worthy of love all alone despite the fact that right now they don’t believe it. But it’s a particularly strong statement for Carmen because he grew up abused, being attacked and diminished, and Syd liking this dish symbolizes her liking the beauty of his soul despite the flaws of this person.
