i have rung a HALF peal of Cambridge Major, but minor is so much faster‽

and i have rung one (1) plain course of Bourne Minor. i did not get through it without making a mistake.

it's for my girlfriend's birthday the following day. last year, we failed to get a quarter of Grandsire Doubles for her birthday. i do not want a recurring failure to be the marker of her birthday???

i love truck stops in winter bc i love a little good old fashioned reconnaissance. i’m at a wyoming truck stop eating taco bell with a bunch of random truckers discussing road conditions like we’re in a high fantasy tavern & inn and we’re warning each other about monsters and highway men. everyone talking about where we’re coming from and going to and how bad it’ll be getting there.

THE tallest man i’ve ever seen in real life just stopped me in the hallway by the coin operated laundry apropos of nothing and asked “which direction are you going?” i said east and he said “good” and walked away.

i caught up with him and asked why and he said “west’s no good right now. i just came from there.”

apparently a truck jackknifed and has traffic backed up ten miles but he sounded for all the world like he just found his village raised to the ground by an evil mage’s army

"b b but its not true!!!!" yeah i know thats why i go to shul early on saturday mornings for torah study to sit down with my community and see what truths we can find in our traditional stories. "but somebody made it up!!!!!!" yeah, our ancestors did, to teach us how to live by our culture's laws and values. "but it didn't happen!!!!!!!!!!" no but what did happen is our ancestors cherished and protected and passed along these stories because the lessons they teach are so important to our culture so if you'd step aside please i'd like to continue studying what my predecessors worked so hard for me to have

A thing can be accurate in all its details and not say anything True about life and living. A thing can be unverifiable in its particulars and teach a deeper Truth.
