[ Hun Project ]
Hun, the titled character of [ Hun Project ]
A juvenile ghoul; Shapeshifting creatures that live off of flesh, with a preference for the human variety, especially when it is slightly decayed (for flavor). Historically they were grave robbing vermin, but changes in human behavior have made the adapt to be hunters more than scavengers in modern times. Their pups mimic human infants, and the burden of child rearing is left to unsuspecting humans. They spend their youth observing humans closely while being raised by them, and use that information to mimic behavior convincingly as adults. This makes the pups much easier to spot than the matured ghouls, who have mastered their shifting.
Despite the visual similarities, they do not think and feel in a human way. They are intelligent but ruthless creatures; Antisocial, territorial, qnd opportunistically violent.
Her caregivers just call her “Hun”.
It’s been a loooong time since I updated this art blog (long enough that the UI to upload images is foreign to me…) but the Hun project has endured since I was last here. I have more projects, now, and I have years of art that hasn’t seen the light of day. I’ll be scheduling out some posts to revive this bad boy again. Hopefully those still around are interested in my ways.
Same may recall this cast, but they have evolved and matured a lot. More info about them specifically to be posted. Synopsis below:
In the muggy folds of the Florida Everglades, a troubled mechanic and a necromancer navigate the swamps to dump a corpse, but instead they find a small girl wandering through the muck. The mechanic leaps to the child’s rescue, while the necromancer recognizes it for what it truly is: A juvenile shapeshifter only masquerading as a human child. Despite this, the mechanic is determined to mother the man eating beast, even when its growing hunger grabs the attention of the gossiping locals and the eager conspiracies of an internet personality. The pair of troubled women must explore their trauma around motherhood, death, and moral surveillance.
character design stuff for that personal project i hinted at a while back
two terrible women find a child, but it’s actually just a horrible blood thirsty creature pretending to be a child to manipulate them. they take care of it anyway.
so basically: teeth does concept/design work for yet another horror comedy comic
