Vampires SMP finale spoilers for Owen and Legs!!
I've been going insane since watching their deaths so have my incoherent ramblings cuz that's what Tumblr is for, right??
Owen died after seeing the sunrise one last time. The sunrise was supposed to represent the start of his new (after)life getting to see Louis again. A fresh start. Getting to see the thing that made his life bright again.
He thought he finally understood what everyone had been telling him, there are good people and bad people and not all the good people are human and not all the bad people are vampires. But it wasn't that simple. That was part of it and he learned that, but what he refused to believe is that people can change. That improvement is possible.
And THAT is what was his downfall in the end. Some of his worst actions (killing Avid, another vampire on his side, turning Legs to punish him for his past) were driven by the idea that people can not change. And those horrible reads that he did is what damned him to never spend eternity with Louis.
Legs died after seeing the sunset. A peaceful end to it, closure, the sky itself laid to rest. He accepted his actions and did all he could to right them. He CHANGED. He was a good man, as good as anyone in his situation could've been. He died to save others. He protected the town til the end. He was ready for death and he was okay with it, just like Owen, but unlike Owen his death wasn't just for himself. It was a choice for the greater good.
My partner @thatbeesprout and I were just discussing why Janus wasn't included in the pride photoshoot thing Thomas did a while back and they just said the funniest thing XD
Janus played a big role in Thomas staying in the closet for so long.
Which is funny cuz Janus is arguably one of the most feminine and outwardly gay sides next to Roman.
So it begs the question... Did Janus go through a "Straight Passing" phase? And what would that even look like? XD
