CHAIKI SIM IS BACK, BABY!

After starting production mid-2024, ending mid-2025, and taking until the end of 2025 to get off my ass and make this download page, it's finally here. The remake/remaster/platinum edition EVERYONE* has been waiting for!

*Well, everyone in my friend group at least.

Jokes aside, I've worked very hard on this remaster. Chiaki Sim 2k16 is nearly a decade old at this point, and in the time since, my love for the Danganronpa franchise has only grown. However, the game very much shows its age: back when the only sprites we readily had were from the PSP versions, when Naegi Makoto didn't have any official bust-up sprites, when none of us could agree on using the fan translation or official translation so we flip-flopped between "Nagito" and "Komaeda" in the same sentence. Yeah, those were dark times. Combine that with a kid who had never used Python before till that point, and you get a "wonderful" work of art. Passionate, but full of spelling errors and jank.

But those dark ages are (mostly) over. I'm just as passionate as before, but now with real Python experience under my belt and a more robust creative sense, I'm back to remake my magnum opus. Revisiting Chiaki Sim has been a ride, and I can confidently say I had just as much fun creating this remake as I did making the original.

Played the original? New altogether? No problem.

Whether you've played Chiaki Sim all the way back in 2016 (2k16, one might say), or this is your first time hearing about the concept, Chiaki Sim 2k16 V.24.25 has something to offer. It's the same game as the original - so no having to go back and play the "first version" before this one - but with many brand new elements! Such as:

  • Complete graphical overhauls!
  • 7 BRAND NEW endings!
  • An achievement system!
  • Updated dialogue!
  • Custom sprite work!
  • ORIGINAL Main Menu music!

So, basically, what I'm saying is that there's something for everyone. Which means you have no excuse not to play my game. Best part?

It's free.

Now you seriously have no excuse.
