TELL ME MORE ABOUT SOREN AND KOL AND HOW THE KOL ENDS UP CURED????
Live from Rias’ phone so we really do have to ignore all typos for my sanity YAAAAY
Kol & Soren are very near & dear to me because on the surface, they seem like they can get on fine without the other (they aren’t turbo enmeshed like Some Brothers) but that’s only until you try to force that.
The daggerings don’t quite happen exactly the same in canon— Kol is daggered less (than in canon) because in order to put him down, Klaus and Elijah have to put Soren down around the same time. The only reason they’re capable of putting one down without the other is when they’re separated by continents.
(In particular, what fascinates me with this dynamic is that Elijah does some of the daggering when there’s two of them, not just holding them down.)
The longest they’ve had one down without the other when they’re in the same country is a matter of hours. Klaus’ attempts to reason with one of them about the other being put down has never worked out for him. Their dynamic also keeps them in check, though, because Kol and Marcel’s entire thing doesn’t happen the exact same way. Kol isn’t daggered in that era for how he treats Marcel. It’s something else entirely.
Ultimately, even though Soren is younger— he’s the one that’s more protective. It comes from seeing Kol be killed when they were humans (which is something he holds against Esther. She could’ve killed them both at the same time, instead of letting Mikael do it. It would have been a mercy, in his opinion).
Soren WAS also a witch when he was turned, but he adapted to vampirism more quickly because it allowed him more power (dad killing him had his mental fucked up for a minute).
(I think Soren would be just as attached to Miri as Kol, in a different way. His uber attachment would come after they’re turned— when he identifies her as the only other person who should be able to touch Kol and not get their heart extracted for it).
How Kol turns human— in the main story, he and Soren (& Atlas and Jeremy) do end up tracking down Silas, but things quickly go haywire with all the different teams and their agendas. Silas gets the cure, as was their plan to quickly kill him, but Kol has to kill him in their ensuing fight between a FEW different people (including Rebekah & Katherine).
(And yeah, Soren loses his mind about Kol being mortal again. If he was protective before…)
From your Mikaelson Characters, who is their closest canon sibling for each of them and who is their favorite (if they're different)?
Aaron — His closest canon sibling is Freya, but his favourite is Finn.
Bryn — Closest canon sibling is Finn. Favourite is Henrik, who was the only one to never disappoint her.
Angela — Closest canon sibling is Elijah, but her favourite is Kol. (Kol feels a disconnect between knowing this and her still not acknowledging how often Elijah is responsible for his pain, but ultimately, he takes advantage when he can).
Delilah — Closest is Klaus, favourite is Rebekah. Very straight forward. She will beat Klaus into the ground every single time he touches Rebekah in her presence.
Soren — Closest & favourite is Kol. They're a hivemind.
Iliana — Henrik, fullstop.
Astoria — She ends up closest to Kol & Rebekah but her favourite will always be Finn.

Astoria never bothers to figure out which sireline she hails from, because it really doesn't matter to her, but Kol is obsessed with figuring out which one.
He hasn't turned anyone by the time she turns. She's the only person he lets drink from him, aside from Rebekah. He wants it to be his blood. His or Soren's.
i already said the delilahs kiss so my next agenda is to have bryn kiss johanna but we can talk about that later
Oh, I love the idea of Bryn/Johanna so much!!!
I imagine knowing that Finn and Bryn aren't permanently dead (now that she knows that Klelijah are going around stabbing people, she's going to start spiraling and realize that she hasn’t seen those two in forever) and that what she saw happen to Kol doesn’t mean he’s dead either, helps Johanna's mental health tremendously. (And she's already surprisingly well adjusted—at least compared to the rest of them.)
They can hang out on the homestead! Five hundred years under the dagger means she gets undaggered sometime in the 1600s—which means Johanna probably hasn’t seen the family since before Bryn was undaggered by the time they catch her in Cádiz. Johanna would be in such a bad place when she finally gets those two back 🥺 she'd be thrilled to know that they not dead.
(And who knows—maybe it helps Bryn and Finn feel better that there was at least one sibling who had absolutely no idea what was going on… or maybe it doesn’t. Bryn seems a little crazy—in a hot way, but crazy nonetheless.)
Now we just need to find someone for Miriam to start kissing. My suggestion? Soren seems like he might be a good option. Astoria is also speaking to me. (And someone for the triplets to be weird about...)
Bryn would be sooo lovingly insane about Johanna. And she's managed to get away from their codependent siblings? She's uber proud of her, in her own twisted way.
I do think she assumes everyone was in on her and Finn being kept under, but the knowledge Jo just... wasn't aware? It chips away at that burden of ragehatredjealousy she's carrying on her shoulder. Selfishly, she would want to be Jo's confidant over everybody else (Finn & Sage), but I think she could tentatively share her. Maybe. As long as they know she's her favourite.
By the time she steals Finn and wakes him up, I think they're almost committed to completely not being in contact with any of the others, but Bryn is Bryn and she can't help the fact she wants to know everything about everyone who once lived with her. She wants spies everywhere. All it takes is a whimper of a word about Klaus and Elijah trying to put her down after years of not hearing anything about it, I truly think she'd send Sage after her to feel her out.
(You are correct in that she's a little insane and has full on conversations with the voices in her head, but she's also hot).
I think her panic about Kol would make Bryn a little huffy but she wants to keep this sister, badly, so she'd even offer to try to get him back.
(Finn doesn't agree but, well. He has Sage. All Bryn has is Jo. He can bite her about it.)
I need to know about this "fit of rage" that caused Kol to turn astoria
SO, in Astoria's verse — Henrik is twelve when she dies (roughly around 1001, since I'm going with the canon timeline to begin with) and she's more or less 'raised' by Finn (and Sage when she comes along) because he's got the best bloodlust control.
(Elijah wanted to do it. He really did. But there was Klaus and Rebekah and— and he just couldn't do what Finn could).
So she knows she's their sister but like. Well. Finn is her safe person, as is Sage. Rebekah's there too, but it's mainly those two. They keep her safe and they get a little leniency for being away from Klaus because even in his mind, he can recognize (for that time) the troubles they get into. By the time she's reached her teenage years, it's clear that she's a witch. This leads Kol to wanting to be more of a prominent figure in her life, to explore and teach her magic, but uhhh. Finn's not interested. Sage definitely isn't fucking interested and it comes down to a vote (which she hates) and it's decided that he should be allowed so Finn takes a step back (Sage does not) and lets Tori travel with Kol for a while. It's actually not an attack towards her at all, it's in the midst of them being attacked and him going insane to fight off as many as he can (and she's helping, to be fair, her magic is helping) but it doesn't change the fact he uses everything around him as a weapon. It doesn't change the fact that projectiles don't hit only their target. It never changes the fact that her siblings are turbo protective and always want her safe and give her vials of blood for her to drink whenever she's hurt.
(And they're never labeled. It doesn't matter, does it? They're all her siblings. All her blood.)
The fit of rage really comes after he's done fighting and his baby sister is crumpled on the ground. He doesn't move her until she wakes up. He, however, slaughters everyone within a five mile radius. It draws attention. Mikael almost tracks them down. Finn and Sage fly in like a rescue squad and Sage beats the hell out of Kol as soon as she notices her baby is a vampire.
(Finn has to tear her off of him. It's the first and only time he gets between Sage and a sibling.)
I don't think I've ever clarified which brother dies instead of Henrik in Delilah's main verse (lowkey because there are quite a few different variations of who it could be, depending on my mood) but in the main, typical story — It's Elijah who dies. So it's a very canon divergent story and part of the fun of that is digging into how not only Lilah changes the story but also how the siblings differ with Elijah's death.
the lucky seven means So much to me in very specific ways but the girl group + myler welcoming jeremy into the fold of it all after vicki's death when he, for so long, wanted to feel apart of a group like they were is perhaps one of the Most.
AU where everything is the same, but Elijah makes villainous to-do list with things like "rip out Klaus's heart for ruining our family" next to "pick up the dry cleaning" and "get haircut." Right before the sacrifice, Elena successfully pulls off a dastardly caper and steals the list. Her, Bonnie, Caroline, Tyler, and Matt get absolutely wasted and spend hours making fun of him. Damon asks what's so funny, and Bonnie (with a perfect Elijah accent) says "to do: select the perfect cufflinks to compliment my fun tie." Caroline says "you know, Jonas, the navy blue one." Matt continues the joke "what do you mean you can't tell what's fun about it, Jonas? It's blue instead of black!" Tyler fucking loses it
