because someone finally uploaded all of his screenshots on a google drive for convenient acess and where he's not going to lose them for good once his PC decides to give out for the 8th time in the past 4 years
Anyway, a preamble for those inclined:
- Most of these are pretty old, furthest dating back to about July 2019, so expect a number of them to be...lesser than others, and possibly compressed to shit/poorly cropped - i didn't know what i was doing at the time. BUT the good news is that the fresher they are by the date the better they get, so expect higher quality the further you go down the list
- This at large is meant to document and immortalize the content that since had long been removed from the game, but it also includes stuff and destinations that are still available. Downloading and use is encouraged, do whatever you want
- I hope this is a trip down memory lane for any community oldies - it definitely was for me while i was sifting through them lmao
- And the last note. I have not had acess to any new content beyond the Witch Queen expansion and the seasons that followed it since it is currently region blocked in my fuckass terrorist country, hence why the latest of these are dated back to 2022. I miss this game immensely, my days for the past 3 years had not been the same without it; i will always keep it and the memories made in it close to my heart. This is as much an archive as it is a lover letter to this flawed but wonderful game. I hope you enjoy these as much as i do

I am especially proud of that Europa screenshot, but it is so good that even I am now questioning whether it is actually a screenshot and not a cutscene – but then again, if it was a cutscene it'd have black borders and would be slimmer 🤔

Random inquiry! Has there been any interaction between the Vex and Rasputin? I haven’t found anything but honesty I’m curious. Love the blog btw!!!!
That's an interesting question because nope, not that I can remember.
There are some indirect interactions due to the fact that he resided on Mars and Mars had a population of the Vex, especially in D1 while the entrance to the Black Garden was on Mars. Vex enemies were present on missions where we were defending Rasputin's installations and territory. Same with D2 and his bunker on Io: the Vex were present there as well.
However, to my knowledge, he never directly had any altercations with the Vex. Unlike the Eliksni who routinely break into his bunkers and the Cabal that fight anything they see, even the Hive that he had major assaults against on Mars (including freezing Nokris and Xol when he couldn't fight them), he didn't seem to have any issues with the Vex outside of them simply being near his bunkers.
When Osiris confronted Rasputin, it's shown that Osiris has seen what Rasputin truly did to Felwinter and the Iron Lords (Felwinter was Osiris' mentor) and he saw it in the Infinite Forest. This would mean that the Vex can simulate Rasputin. That's about as close as we can get for Rasputin and Vex interactions.
Fairly strange that the Vex weren't on his radar more often. Though on the other hand, he wasn't really on their radar either. They don't seem to have an explicit interest in one another, which is very intriguing.
There was an adventure on Io where Rasputin used music and seraph nodes to disable Vex soldiers, so he was at least developing counter-measures to use against them.
The Ishtar Collective also brought Rasputin in as something “too big for a single vex mind to simulate”
Omg yeah, that adventure! It was called "Arecibo" and featured Rasputin playing music and the Vex being enchanted by it. It was one of the early D2 hints at the Warmind DLC. Rasputin took over (?) Ghost and sent us a message about the ice caps on Mars (which melted and released the Hive trapped underneath).
It's really interesting that Rasputin's nodes and music appeared to have hypnotised the Vex. They were gathered around the nodes, completely dormant.
