Minneapolis is being made an example of because they're the most bitesized target, and if you're doing a shock and awe campaign like this you need to not choke on national tv.

Because Trump couldn't win MN even when he won PA, MI, and WI, because we sparked a multiracial wave of protests when they murdered George Floyd, because we're a relatively integrated metro area with a lot of refugees who have gained citizenship, because Tim Walz ran against JD Vance. They hate us. They see us as race traitors: a famously white, Scandinavian-settled state turning its back on its "heritage". They send their fake journalists here to create a pretext to brutalize us - they've done this before and it's what they're doing now.
Minnesota Republicans WORKED WITH NICK SHIRLEY to cook up the fake Somali daycare fraud story, and a credulous media decided that a subliterate subhuman worm had magically discovered millions of dollars in fraud that years of investigation and prosecution, including by prosecutors appointed by Trump, hadn't uncovered.
It's not tactical. It's ideological. They have sent a Klan posse here to try and break us, because we are a midsize metro area that they personally hate and are fucking obsessed with.

We are experiencing a massive escalation by an already-fascist organization. I cannot emphasize that enough. I was in Minneapolis in 2020, I was part of a number of protests including some that ended up dangerous, I am not talking out of my ass about this. They have invaded us with the intention of occupying us. This is a test of procedures and protocols that will allow them to black-bag or imprison/"deport" pretty much anyone they want. We cannot let this happen. It is not the time to try and keep the peace with your friends, family, or neighbors, it is time to be loud as fuck about the attempt to subject a state to a fascist President's shock troops.

I’ve noticed a sort of implicit belief that people used to do things the hard way in the past because they were tougher or something. In reality, labor-saving devices have historically been adopted by the populace as soon as they were economically feasible. No one stood in front of a smoky fire or a boiling pot of lye soap for hours because they were virtuous, they did it because it was the only way to survive.

as discovered by @stitchclyffewell and many others who's time got wasted by my blunder, this story is a.i. slop from an a.i. bot account. This story is fake. This is another lesson on, especially for me to not add anything to people's posts unless you can verify a source. We all knew this from Wikipedia. I especially should know this from Facebook of all places as someone who never used it because of its surveillance nature and laundering of fake posts. I should never listen to relatives who do use it, as it has a long runaway a.i. problem I lapsed about because it's practically useless as place to share information. In my blood boiling rage to take that to tradfascists, I got swept up in fake anecdotes meant to appeal to maximum emotion and rage (it even has an 'and everyone clapped moment' near the end which is nuts because their hands were supposably fucked up from years of boiling lye? that is a.i. logic), posted and called it a day forgetting about it until it blew up today.
To my followers and likes and rebloggers, alt-texters, people who wasted their times trying to track this down to disprove it, but especially to op of original post, I'm sorry.

Reuploaded my screenshots to deface them so people really get the point that this story is made up and generated by A.I. if they go to my original reblog now. Obviously many won't as they reblog the untouched addition from the many reblogs out in the wild. I wished I had thought of this sooner before this post reached even more people after the fact checking and debunking from people more discerning and diligent than me, but not as much as I wished I never posted these at all. As it stands, I can't prevent my biggest blunder from spreading far and wide, but I can keep this up as a monument to my stupidity and be done with the matter even if I can't undo the misinformation and emotional manipulation this post has caused.
It sucks because this plagiarized garbage gets at a sense of a perverse skewed reality that is better conveyed by fact checkers, source providers and many rebloggers own anecdotes this has spawned. Looking at what national news outlets are up to right now, one might not realize a whole major US metropolitan area is, you know, sort of under attack by paramilitary forces. Wild.

While it's not going unreported entirely, what's been happening in Minnesota and in Minneapolis–Saint Paul in particular since Renee Good was murdered is not getting the attention it should be.
There are already 2000 gangsters from DHS deployed, and "hundreds" or "1000" more are on the way, depending on which Trumpland person you ask. As a point of reference, the Twin Cities' actual police total just under 1200 (600 in Minneapolis and 590 in Saint Paul according to the depts' sites).
The feds there are more or less attacking people at random. They've gone door-to-door for "citizenship checks" (completely illegal). They've knocked doors down when residents haven't complied (obviously also completely illegal). In addition to abducting and brutalizing the immigrants they come across during their rampages, they've done the same to US citizens of color and are also harassing, stalking and physically attacking observers.
