CS REWIND: WHITE OUT
I wanna reminisce about this episode cos.
WHO REMEMBERS THE SURPRISE HUG?!?!
IT came out of NOWHERE.
NONE OF US WERE READY.
I remember tumblr EXPLODING when this happened.
The way David hauled her up and put her in Killian’s arms. And she clung to him like a koala.
After all the blowing him off (heads out the gutter you know what i mean) she did, acting all blasé about their relationship… but when her life was in danger….
SHE REACHED FOR HIM.
AND CRADLED HIS FUCKING HEAD LIKE IT WAS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING IN THE WORLD, THIS IS PRINCE CHARMING’S DAUGHTER THROUGH AND THROUGH.
There was no denying these two fuckers were in love after this.
And he carried her bridal style back to safety, my fucking heart I swear.
AND THEN THEY GET BACK
AND IT’S ALL CUDDLES AND HAND HOLDING
RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FAMBO
ZERO FUCKS GIVEN
LOVING LOOKS AND ALL.
How she was all thankful for him grabbing that little heater. THESE TWO- MY GOD.
White out was just a really good fucking episode you guys.
We got charming family fun, swan believer, CHARMING’S LONG HAIR, Captain charming glory, and some fantastic captain swan that kicked off their journey as an official couple.
And we also got my favourite shot too.

Revisiting Killian Jones
It’s been forever since I watched the introduction of Killian, specifically his meeting of Emma, Snow and his journey to Storybrooke.
I wanted to rewatch these scenes to go over their interactions after knowing all what we know of him now the show’s over, just to see what’s missed etc and just to have a bit of fun tbh.
It is quite eye opening, even though we all know how the story goes and we’ve studied every frame to death.
But I wanna do it again :D
I want to start at the betrayal. Now we know these two have realised there’s a connection there. He’s been flirting, figuring her out, showing off, and most importantly…. he’s been helping.
He’s decided he’s on their side, and knowing more of Killian’s history, we know he’s not shy about helping others reluctantly if it’s the right thing to do. He decided to help Ursula, he decided to help Ariel-
The key issue with all the times he’s helped in the past is, it’s never gone his way, he’s gotten fucked over, and as a result of that, he becomes nasty and attacks out of spite, usually because he’s tried to do the right thing and it backfires on him.
But in this moment, he’s sided with Emma, he’s doing the right thing, he’s felt a connection with her and they’ve succeeded in their plan. He’s happy. He’s open. He’s Killian Jones in this moment. Not Hook, not a pirate, just Killian.
He asks to take her hand so they can head off and make their way to Storybrooke, Cora completely forgotten for now…
But Emma isn’t that optimistic.
She hasn’t sussed him out yet. She gets the connection, but from her own history, she knows that that connection has before left her double crossed, locked up and broken.
She’s not going to take the chance of making that mistake again, especially when she’s not sure of him just yet. And while you can see she’s determined to go through with shackling him, she’s genuinely sorry for doing it.
There’s no smirky “you’ve bested me again” here, no cocky remarks or charming flirtation to try and woo her into letting him out.
He’s genuinely shocked. He’s hurt. He’s angry. He’s vulnerable.
Because once again, Killian Jones has bared himself, tried to do the right thing, and it’s blowing up in his face.
He was true in his helping of her, true in his unconventional way of getting to know her, and he was true about helping her get back home.
But it wasn’t enough to convince Emma, and so he’s left double crossed, betrayed, hurt and angry…..
I still fucking LOVE that every smile- no matter how ''tender' or 'soft' it's usually meant to be.... Dark Hook's eyes remain completely cold and sinister.
Normally, Killian's expressions, no matter what they are, always hold some level of warmth and humanity- even when he's angry there's some sort of alternate emotion underneath peeking through... and yet with Dark Hook it's completely gone.
You can tell there's someone else in there and it's deliciously chilling. No warmth, no humanity, no morals, remorse or reasoning... and it's all within his stone cold eyes- even when the rest of his face is shaped into a loving, sweet smile.
It's what makes an actor an artist.
It may be a small thing but it's a massive reason for why I fucking LOVE Dark Hook and wish we'd been given more of him. There was so much potential there, so much to explore and ways to push him to see how dark he could truly get.
He was the epitome of Pandora's Box to me and it was closed far too quickly.

Been sick the last couple days, so naturally I used my downtime to catch up on binging some TV.
MANIFEST: Ohhhh man I thought it was going to go a different way but i'm actually happy about the ending. Great stuff.
THE FULL MONTY: Loved it. Not only did it tap into working class humour, it hit hard on a lot of shit we're facing. I had to fast forward a bit of the ending as it set off some of my long-buried trauma, but it was a bittersweet and lovely little show. I also saw a couple lil sneaky rumple hands here and there and chuckled.
LOKI: Finally watched it. Way better than I was expecting it to be. I put it off for so long as tumblr put me off and I just wasn't in the mood, but yeah... it was alright.
SECRET INVASION: Now this... I am loving....
