Kanej headcannon: I know that people have already mentioned this but gimmie a minute. Kaz Brekker can play the violin. But like, not just play it, he imbibes it, people in the Slat claim to hear necter seeping through the walls. And when he plays, even the casino's near by, quiet down to listen. Kaz Brekker is so talented that he can hear a song once, and then play it perfectly. Playing is probably how he expresses his emotions, it gives him a release.

But more than that, I created this little scene in my head.

You know how after Inej killed someone for the first time. Kaz just stood outside her door, listening to her sobbing. And he did nothing.

A few minutes later, Inej heard a Suli song, that she had been humming a week before.

Kaz was playing up in his room, unsure if this would help Inej, or hurt her further. He just knew that she might need a peice of home.

I want a fanfic. One that takes place immediately after the Crows take down Van Eck. At the end of the book but before the final chapter.

Why? Because I sometimes think non-stop about the way Kaz, Inej, Jesper and Wylan ended up at that time (I'm not including Nina because she left) But here are some thoughts I had about the four Crows I listed above.

Jesper: I want to know how he felt when he moved in with Wylan. I mean, he's basically helping his boyfriend manage an entire government now, which is a huge deal for someone his age. And he and Wylan had Inej over for a bit, how did that go?

Wylan: Similarly to Jes, I want to know how he settled with the knowledge that he owns Ketterdam's biggest empire. The ways he began managing it. Knowing Wylan, I can imagine him being really really nervous. Scared even while remembering that everything he has now once belonged to his father.

Inej: Cause she is a teen girl who plans on taking the world with a ship. I am not in any way undermining Inej's abilities and mindset, but logically, how much can one person do against thousands of rapists, slavers, and criminals? How nervous was she? What about her and Kaz?

Kaz: My boy. Now that I think about it, Nina left, Inej and Jesper stayed at the Van Eck mansion with Wylan. I do not want to think about Kaz and his lonely walk back to the Slat. The few days he must have spent by himself in his office, especially right after discovering the death of one of his crew members.

Please someone, write a fanfic about this.

Girl, I've read these books cover to cover seventeen thousand times in the past seven years. I know everything about you and Kaz and the rest of your crew. Something in my gut tells me that I'm extremely accurate about every single word I wrote on this post. You were nervous, Inej. There is no way a girl with your intelligence and of your age isn't. Not in regards to something as huge as taking on the entire world independently.

And Kaz one thousand percent is your boyfriend. I love you with everything in my soul, Inej, but even you can't convince me otherwise. You two have been going on stakeouts and missions alone, training, spending long hours in his office gossiping, making intense heart eyes at each other, watching each other carefully to the point where you know basically everything about each other, and having a gut-deep emotional connection with each other for more than two years straight. He is your boyfriend, you just haven't had the revelation yet to admit it.

Ask Nina and Jesper. They will agree with me.
