I suppose it's about time for me to do one of these things lmao

I'm TK. I've been writing in some capacity for twenty-something years, and gaming for even longer. I tend to fluctuate when it comes to fandoms, but the big ones are Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Transformers, Witcher, and you guessed it: Dragon Age. I've a big propensity for OC pairings and headcanons, and when I don't, it's countless hours in a research rabbit hole. Lmao.

You can find me on AO3 at Topkicker26. You can also DM me if you wish to chat better on Discord

Due to the onset of spam and AI plaguing the creative spaces, all works on AO3 are locked to registered users only. If you DON'T have an account, I'll be more than happy to throw you an invite!

ASSASSIN'S CREED

Justitia-(COMPLETE)- Federico Auditore da Firenze/OC

Something that should have remained buried was stolen—only to be dumped on a targeted stranger. Now stuck in a time rife with both beauty and betrayal, Tristan Meyers finds that nothing is truly as it seems and that it's a long way back home. But will it be that easy when an unknown entity is hunting her down on the dangerous streets of Florence?

DRAGON AGE

Caveat Lector Hic Sunt Daemones-(ONGOING)- Lucanis Dellamorte/Rook de Riva

To outside eyes, the Rookery is nothing more than a quaint bookshop. But past its front door, it's clear by the hushed whispers and bowed heads, a different type of merchandise is also traded. Intelligence, secrets, and acquisitions—the types of things that could make or break empires. When an attempt on her life causes a dark secret of her own to be released upon Minrathous, Rook has to reluctantly ally herself with that of an Antivan Crow. But of course, out of all the demons in this city, she gets stuck with the "dead" one.

THE WITCHER

Cat's Paws, Viper's Fangs-(ONGOING)- Federico Auditore/OC Witcher AU

Out of the known witcher schools, only two are infamous for taking contracts not only on monsters, but men as well. The Vipers, cold and calculating with their blades dipped in poison, and the Cats whose prowess are only outmatched by their intense ferocity in battle. When two witchers from opposite worlds meet under the most unlikely circumstances, they reluctantly have to rely upon another to make it out of the North alive. That is if they can stand each other long enough to do so...

Hi hi!

For the fantasy character asks

🐉 = Of the fantastical elements in their world what does your character actually find strange, or hard to believe?

Tamryn has a hard time believing anything related to the Chantry is true. He doesn’t believe in the Maker or Andraste, and generally thinks the Chantry is Not a Very Great Institution. This has both to do with being raised more Dalish (though he didn’t quite believe those stories all literally either, until you know…) and the Chantry in general always having been something to be feared for him. Growing up with magic, he feared he might be taken away to a Circle, and in general, the Chantry does not have a great history of treating elves very well. And while Tamryn understands that believing in Andraste and the Maker can be a comfort to a lot of people, he’s not of those people. That said, he does enjoy using the occasional Andrastian curse :)

🩸 Patching up a wound (with Flynn and NPC Aster) > drabble prompt turned comic

Small town physician meets big city healer (who's also a trained assassin)

NPC Aster, in a Save Treviso worldstate (and Lucanis romanced by Rook), lends aid to the Wardens in Hossberg on behalf of the Crows, and might get close to the local physician Flynn (sorry Warden Martin)

Thinking about how many people complain that Lucanis's romance doesn't give much and then how, in bad ends, Isabella remarks that he always looked at Rook like they were a fever dream. Thinking about how Lucanis is so blatantly afraid that he will lose Rook that those fleeting touches are all he allows himself, how he says that Rook is leaving their life in the hands of a killer. Thinking about how Lucanis desperately pulls Rook out of the Fade whether you romance him or not, but stumbles back and releases them when they finally slip through. Thinking about how Lucanis stands there near tears saying he thought he would never see them again, and only goes to Rook when it's clear that Rook is not okay, either by masking their pain again or saying they aren't even sure they're real. Thinking about how Spite's wings come out to protect Rook while they make love. Thinking about how Lucanis lays in their lap instead of Rook in his.

Useless Veilguard fact of the day: Day 315

The game script contains cut lines of Antivan Crows sabotaging the Antaam-used amplifiers in the city to deliver their own messages.

(Amplifier) The Antivan Crows fight for you. The Butcher will not prevail. (Amplifier) We interrupt again to remind the Butcher that the Crows rule Antiva. Treviso will be free. (Amplifier) We will silence the Butcher. He will speak his final words by Crow demand. (Amplifier) Take heart, Treviso. These occupiers will not defeat you. The Butcher will die. (Amplifier) We will cast aside his Antaam as easily as his voice. Hear us, Treviso, you will be free. (Amplifier) The Butcher may claim the streets, but can never claim our hearts. The Crows are with you. (Amplifier) Treviso will not be caged for long. The Butcher will not silence us.

WIP Wednesday/Last Line Written

I am soo sorry for all the folks who have tagged me recently. The projects I have been working on are kind of top secret/not ready to be seen. However, I think I can swing this snippet about Effe (from the Wigmaker Job) becoming a Shadow Dragon.

Yet, something—call it stubbornness or even pure spite—kept her going. Effe made a full recovery, joined the newly coined Shadow Dragons, and rose in the ranks not long after. It only came later after a job had been well done and much coaxing that the formerly notorious Wigmaker, Ambrose Forefex, had been her cruel master.

I tag @vinatoras and anyone else who may want to show off a snippet!

Sky's the Limit

(Inspired by @rookanisstuff's tags on this beautiful piece they did. But what if instead of moving and lovely, we had dumbasses? Because being a dumbass is at the heart of everything I write.)

After making the last stitch, Ilene tied off the thread with a knot and pulled a knife from her belt to cut off the excess.

"There," she said as she slid the knife back in its sheath. "How does that feel?"

Instead of looking down at the stitches in his arm, Lucanis continued to stare at her face. "How does what feel?"

The words stumbled from his lips, blurred by his accent and the last remnants of the poison still leaving his system. Ilene was impressed he could manage the common tongue at all, but she couldn't help a slight snort of laughter.

"The stitches, tonto."

He blinked—slowly—and then looked down at his wound. "Oh. That." He met her eyes again and offered her a slightly sheepish smile. "I forgot."

Ilene laughed again. "Yeah, I bet. You are higher than a chantry tower, aren't you? There's a reason Viago calls that one Sky's the Limit."

"Viago?" Lucanis's smile drooped to a puzzled pout. "Did Viago poison me?"

"Not this time."

But Sky's the Limit wasn't the kind of poison someone could just throw together. House de Riva wasn't the only source, but the only possible others she knew of were also Crow Houses. And unless some of their fellow assassins had decided to start wearing red robes and use blood magic as well as poisoned arrows, one of the Houses—or a highly motivated and incredibly stupid individual—was supplying the Venatori.

"You know..." Lucanis drawled, and Ilene focused back on him just in time to stiffen in surprise when he pressed a gentle finger to the corner of her lips.

"When you frown," he continued, "this freckle? It goes down like this." His finger shifted, and with a touch of careful pressure, he pushed her lips into the semblance of a smile. "I like it better when it's like this."

The black of his pupils had been nearly swallowed by warm brown, and Ilene let herself soak in that warmth for a long moment before taking his hand in hers and putting it back on his knee. As she stood, she didn't miss how he looked down at his hand and rubbed his thumb against the skin she had touched.

"Noted," she told him. "Now let's get you some food and water, or you're going to have a wicked hangover in a few hours."

His face brightened with a childlike glee that had Ilene snorting again. "Are we cooking?"

"No," she laughed. "You are not allowed near anything sharp or hot right now. I am cooking."

With crossed arms and a disgruntled scowl, Lucanis slumped back into the couch. "You are a terrible cook," he muttered.

Ilene leaned over and smacked the line of neat stitches she had made. Lucanis yelped and covered his arm with a look of affronted betrayal.

"Whoops," Ilene said with a grin. "I forgot."

Ok but where is Veil Jumper Sloan getting Manic Panic Shocking Blue in the middle of Arlathan Forest?

Someone found me, yay! So that’s actually me from back in 2019 (had blue hair then lol). I had cancer as a teenager and qualified for Make A Wish and when they asked me what I wanted I said I wanted to meet the team behind my favorite video game series. So they flew me and my family up to Canada and I met the team. And they put me in the game! Took pictures of my face and made me an elf in the Veil Jumpers! So that’s why there’s a blue haired elf named Sloan in the Veil Jumpers lol

Just catching up on my notes from being offline and Omg that is so cool that you got to go see “behind the scenes” (& good to hear you are doing well!) and now you get to be the most fashionable elf in the Veil Jumpers!! 😄(and take care of Gus the nug! 🥹)
