I think we've clearly shifted away from the idea of the pink cure being the main character with girlies like manatsu and sora. I'm hoping these two will be roughly equal in importance like mirai and riko, and honestly iroha and komugi. now that I think about it I might actually prefer when there isn't a single main character in precure

I think the only similar character they've done before is dark precure for heartcatch. she had an awesome design but I feel like she didn't have a ton going on personality wise. I'm excited for another evil precure who's fucked up and sad about it

the children of 2004 were preps but due to the increasing instability of society more and more goths are being born and looking for role models in the media

hm... I wanna say that doesn't feel very precure but of course we all remember hana being hugtan's mom. I don't hate it. it torpedoes shipping potential but it could be cute
