So depending on the timezone, it's probably christmas eve for most people (of maybe even christmas day by the time you see this??) But don't worry, we're not exchanging gifts until DECEMBER 26TH. In case people are busy or offline on christmas etc etc. But here is how the gift giving will work!!
So there are two options for how you can do this!!
- If you want to make your person guess, you can send an ask to this blog (at any time, I will post them all as I get them) with the gift and telling me who your person is. You can leave them a little clue or note if you want, but you don't have to. The ask will not be answered. Instead, I will make a post giving them their gift, tagging them, giving them the hint if you chose to give one, and then you can choose to reveal yourself however you want from there.
- If you don't want to do that, you can make a post using the #secret santa ❆‧₊˚ tag and mention your person, telling them that it's you and this is your gift for them!!
I think that is all you should really need for this? Again because of timezones some people might get it early/late/whatever, but we're not too worried about that! As long as everyone gets their gift :)

If you're tagged in this post that means that you said you were interested in participating in this secret santa! I waited more than the 2 days I said I would just because I wanted to make sure enough people saw the post, but here's the follow up!
The way things will be assigned is that I am going to do a spin the wheel online, so the people will be done randomly. Then, you'll receive an ask in your inbox from me (in case you didn't know it's eun who does this blog @wish-i-were-heather) and I will say the name and @ of the person you've been assigned. PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THAT ASK!! I would recommend just keeping it in your inbox so you can have it at hand, but I guess you can delete it.
I'm pretty certain that most of us either know each other or have an intro post with your interests/fandoms/etc.
The rules aren't anything crazy, as stated previously please keep writing around 500 words, and try to keep the gifts fair! (Which means if you wanna make a moodboard for example go for it, but maybe something more too). If you have any questions send them to my blog or this one!!

About the specifics, gifts can be pretty much anything. Writing, art, anything really. Just try to keep it fair. We don't want someone to get a moodboard and someone else get a 10k word fic, you know?
IF YOU CHOOSE TO WRITE, a quick blurb for your person (x reader or otherwise), please keep it UNDER 500 WORDS. Like we said we want to keep things fair. Art/drawings/paintings are harder to limit but just try to keep things fair.
By saturday, the offer will be closed because we want people to have time to prepare their gifts!! Because of timezones, it's currently 7pm on Wednesday for me right now for reference. That day, another post will be made explaining how you will get assigned your person :)
