hey sorry i didnt text you back for 2 weeks i just became completely jaded with the entire human experience. anyways whats up

adding my own tags cause people are rbing this saying they wanna watch it.

it’s one of my all time favorite shows because it is a masterpiece of tv writing and because it helped me process some deep and specific trauma but i do not recommend it to anyone because it’s just that devastating and additionally it requires a multitude of trigger warnings.

and the fucked up thing is that in saying this i’m almost certain that someone will read this and be even more motivated to watch it so i just wanted to say, i warned you.

When it finished I rewatched the last two seasons 2 to 3 times. Maybe a bit more.

I cried. Like a lot.

I started watching the show thinking I was like BoJack and realized that I am Diane. And no I don’t mean like a transition way. I am talking about the backstory.

It hurts. Like I love this show with all my heart. However I cannot rewatch it. I actively don’t rewatch it. Because I know. I know that like when you get back with an abusive person from your past you revert to that stage sometimes.

While it will not undo my progress, the pain will come back. The feelings of just being hurt for no reason, they will come to hunt me. I will have a crisis.

I honestly don’t know if there is someone I would recommend that series to. And if anything, this is a testament to how good it is. An excellent series that whoever proceeds to watch must know, that if it is for them, it will tear them down and build them back up multiple times before it ends.

Only one real piece of advice if anyone decides to watch it. You may think you are BoJack. However unless you have done some of the worst crimes one person can commit to another you are not. There are plenty of people in real life that are BoJack and I am lucky enough I haven’t interacted with any of them, in such a way that they managed to hurt me.

And for any of us who have watched it, “everyday it gets a little easier, but you have to do it everyday that is the hard part”.

whenever i find a good world heritage post i do my best to carefully remove unnecessary "why is this so funny!!" or "i cant believe i found the original" reblog comments. sometimes it takes a bit of work digging back through the reblog graph to accomplish this but fine art restoration is tedious but important work
