- I thought what Loppers might be interested to know the most is that... Director Choi confirms that Yes, Carlo was developed independently of GDT’s Pinocchio in 2022!! When GDT Pinocchio came out they were already well into development, the entire studio was in a panicked uproar, thinking “what are we going to do…” luckily, they didn’t scrap Carlo then lol.
They were a little upset they couldn't get the jump on players so to speak. Like the expression he used was "we lost our card". But despite the movie, it ended up being very effective anyway.
