this is what kills fandoms btw

you need to reblog things. esp art. i know that i get discouraged when my art doesn’t even pass 20 notes bc no one rebloged it. fandom is a community. treat it as such.

I watched all of the Starters series so I decided to draw a little

And also a random little Cyndaquil because he’s my fav

Orcus Design

Last but not least of the dwarf planet candidate group, Orcus! I wanted to try something a little different for him compared to the cultural and historical associations I did for the other three characters. I went with shark/orca themed clothes and style for this guy, therefore :D

And with that, the dwarf planet candidate group is complete!! I shall continue with the rogue planets soon

even the concept of calling random people online delusional is so dumb

oh, do you have a medical degree? do you even know what psychosis is? do you know me personally in real life to diagnose me? no? then shut up and mind your own business.

anti-therians, anti-otherkins and anti-selfshippers want to feel morally superior by spreading misinformation about actually dangerous mental states and blaming everyone they don't like in being mentally ill

/Rant (talking about ships)

I think being in fandom spaces for most of my life made me realise how stupid most shipping debates are.

most ships were kinda always put together because it mostly 'looked cool'. thinking about how they would match personality types etc always came later.

I see sudden rise again of on-going hate after rogue planets started getting introduced. 'oh, why is X getting suddenly shipped with everyone' etc... sure it might feel like that. but to be fair if you have 5 people in one chat room and each of them ships their fav character with a different character than the rest, it caused the same 'visual effect'.

yes, ships doesnt need to make sence. they can be even only used as 'eye candy' if colors match. they can share one or none things in common, BECAUSE THATS HOW SHIPS ORIGINALLY WORKED.

if the two characters are adults, there shouldnt be hate towards the ship. yes, you can dislike it, you can find it 'cringe', but ships always carried a huge parts of fandoms, and getting online only to spread hate about a ship then complaining that "damn, the fandom this year is soooo dead". no it's not. you think of it as dead because you make it clear to others that you aint willing to be 'ok you like this and i dont, but that's okay because i also like that other thing that you dont'.

the same goes to every other ship out there. dont like? scrolling doesnt hurt. Even blocking (what i think it's bit harsh, but also a way better solution than hate) indulging in polite discussions of 'pros and cons' of a ship is not bad either if person you're enganging in conversation with is willing to talk or/and to be same level civil about it.

No girl, your ship is not better than that other girl over there only because it's 'canon'. no, it's not better because your ship had 'more screentime together'. it doenst matter.

like myself, i dont like lets say... Mercury x Venus. pretty much both very HATED and ADORED ship. but do i be an asshole about it? no, because i can see that 'rivals/enemies to lovers trope' that people enjoy, and i can admit that it is pretty cool. i also think people make nice arts of it, and often they are a very talented artists.

might not be my piece of cake, but it is somebody's elses.

addictional spotlight? people who go 'oh, that's cool but i dont ship it :(((' . alright babe, press the like button on it or not and then you can go back to commenting under ships you like. the internet is for everyone, and everybody doesnt need to keep getting to know your preferences that way- because it is rude. just say 'i might not see the appeal but that kinda looks cute/cool'. it's that easy.

Anyways ranter out, have good time cringing together folks.
