Fuck America!!

"This isn't rage

Its too specific."

But its Piper McLean hating feminine clothes because Native Americans are 10x more likely to be sexualized. But its her calling aphrodite girls "shallow" because people like them bullied her her whole life. But its her Dad ignoring how much she wants to be normal. But its her Dad sending her away no matter what she does to make it feel like he cares for her.

Haven't finished any fics in a long time, so I'm just gonna put this here.

-------

"Hey, Leo. How many foster homes were you in?" Frank asked. The information he learned two days ago was bugging him. He didn't know Leo was a foster kid, and the horror stories hes heard... he couldn't help asking.

He thought that Leo would freeze, or redirect the topic - especially when some of the others just looked at him in warning - but he didn't.

"26." Leo said bluntly and they all froze, their attention back in him as he stuffed his face with fried checken. Oh...

"Gods, this chicken is so good." Leo said quietly, not noticing what he just said or that he was being stared at. "Hazel you could start a food stand with this."

When he looked at her, he raised a brow. Then noticed everyone else looking at him. Surprise and concern on their faces.

"What? What'd I say?" Leo asked in confusion.

"... 26 homes?" Jason asked. Leo stopped. He didn't mean to say it out loud.

-------

Idk what I'm doing.

He cleared his throat.

"I... well... yeah? Its not that big of a deal though. Lots of foster kids end up in like 30."

"That... doesn't really make it better." Hazel smiled nervously as she said it.

"It does for me."

Great. Now they're gonna be weird around me. Leo shrugged. "Besides, I'm out anyway. Can't really do anything about it now."

"I... guess."

"Whats with the weird faces? Not like ripping off a titans head at 14 is any better." He gestured to Jason as he said it.

"... You did what?" Annabeth asked in surprise, though she seemed to be the only one to look surprised by it.

"Just didn't expect that many." Frank said honestly, going back to Leos question.

"Wait, but I thought you said you were in 6 homes before?" Piper looked confused.

"I ran away from 6 of them. I was kicked out of most of them."

"And you never thought to tell any of this to us?"

"Never saw the need to."

"I'd like to know about my best friends past."

"Why?"

"For someone to talk to about it?"

"I don't need to talk about it. I got over it."

"Leo-"

"Its fine! Alright? I don't need to be babied about my 'sad depressing horrible backstory'! I'm out! I'm fine!" He snapped, annoyed. It was one thing to be concerned, it was another to remind him of it when he didn't need to be reminded.

"... Alright." Hazel said and they all went back to their food.

Something I wanna know more about in Little Nightmares: Powers.

Cause a lot of children who go to the nowhere get natural powers when they get to the nowhere. Mono has his reality shifting powers, Low can travel through mirrors, and The Pretender has Telekinesis. While Run Away Kid, Raincoat Girl, Jester, Rusty etcetera didn't and how Six had to obtain her abilities.

And now that I think about it, it seems rare that kids get these abilities.

I wanna know who decides which kid gets the powers? What makes Low, Mono, and The Pretender so special to be given these abilities?

Its been on my mind for a while.

hazel is so under-talked about because they can’t handle her. they can’t handle her beauty. it’s too much for them. they’d die. they can’t comprehend her whimsy, her power, her perfect personality that cannot do wrong. only the most masterful minds can understand hazel levesque.
