i resonate with wanda because she tells MY STORY. alienation, guilt, anger, loss, being taken advantage of, anxiety, feeling like no matter how hard you may try, you'll never be good enough, and never TRULY being good. fiercly loyal to the point where it is a problem yet too timid and scared to truly ever bare myself fully to someone in fear of abandonment. and honestly? she speaks to me because of my queerness. because of the fact that every day i have to grapple with the fact that someone out there thinks i'm an abomination and wants me dead. so no, i'm not toxic, i'm looking in the mirror and seeing someone who lost everything, who is hated for something she cannot control, a broken woman who wants only to be loved. when i see wanda maximoff, i don't just see wanda, i see myself and my queerness. i see the queer story.
