"We stayed up 'til 7 in the morning just talking about our dreams [...] we would try and just say like the craziest things, and they would both align. It was just like 'Dude, I want that too!'. It was just from the first day that we hung out that it was like, 'I want to play music with this guy. I want to be part of what he wants to do, and I believe that everything he's saying that matches up with what I believe can come true. It can happen' "

I wanted to comment on something that genuinely drives me insane. In that part of WDBWOTV where he sings “Cause if you stick around, I’ll sing you pretty sounds / And we’ll make money selling your hair”, it’s like — even if their dream doesn’t work out, he still wants Josh by his side. And he sings it from this perspective that sounds like they’ve been married for years, not just two friends in a band. Like, even if it all fails, they can still make money and keep living together by selling Josh’s hair. They’re not just coworkers who would go their separate ways if the band stopped making money. Nooo, he sings like they’re life partners who would stay glued together and just change strategies to survive, but still together.

Andddd “I need to know That when I fail, you'll still be here” . The whole point isn’t even whether their dream fails — that part he can come to terms with. What he really needs is to know, and to be reassured, that even if the band doesn’t succeed, Josh will still stay with him, won’t go anywhere. Because even if he loses his life’s dream, it wouldn’t be so devastating as long as his center of gravity is still with him.

Not to mention him admitting that he didn’t want to grow old before, but because of Josh, he questions that and feels like living longer. Holy shit djsjsjajaj. They genuinely make me completely unwell I don’t even have words anymore 😭😭😭

right?? the whole song is basically saying "hey even if this doesn't work out, i still want you front and center in my life" and especially because like, this was back when they'd only just been signed to a record label, they still didn't know if it was all really going to work out, so yeah, tyler had come to terms with the idea that it might not (i mean, by all rights, tøp is one hell of an outlier in that way, they're a little local band that Made It, which simply doesn't happen very often) and the important thing in case they didn't, is that josh still sticks around in the aftermath

I was looking at photos of Tyler’s tattoos and thought of something. I wanted to say this here since I don’t use Twitter. Isn’t it funny how Tyler has matching tattoos with Josh and even a tattoo with Josh’s name, but doesn’t have a single tattoo for Jenna? It didn’t have to be her name or anything, but considering he’s the type who says tattoos actually mean something to him and that he doesn’t just get random ones or do it just because the design looks cool (unlike me lol), it’s kind of funny that he’s never done anything for her , not even a small one that reminded him of her. since he’s the ultimate romantic, the most in-love one, the kind of guy who’ll still publicly flirt with her even when they’re 70

I HAVE BEEN THINKING THIS and I’m shocked it’s taken this long for someone to say it😅the fact Tyler has two matching tattoos with Josh but none with Jenna… and no one finds it weird…? Even Josh has one with Debby LMAO

tyler joseph, writing a song that features lyrics such as “i don’t care what’s in your hair i just wanna know what’s on your mind” and “if you stick around i’ll sing you pretty sounds and and we’ll make money selling your hair” while having a bandmate who is known for his dyed hair: they will all believe this is about my wife
