Looking back, there was a drawing of (who i think was) Joel sitting looking out a window because his wings were taken. I was wondering if this happens a lot later in the timeline and if he still helps Grian and Jimmy out?
Also Lizzie is shown in pain on the same page and I was wondering if something happened to her wings or possibly what was going on there
Also is there a reason the magic making Scar float is pink? Is that fairy magic like Lizzie’s?

Great questions!
Firstly the removal of Joel’s wings (and in tandem Lizzie’s wings/power) happens before the AU’s plot! Joel became a vigilante after he removed his wings. It is primarily because of it that he became a vigilante.
Lizzie is a faire and her wings are therefore not apart of her biology like avians but apart of her magic. She can summon them at her wish. However since she wanted to be able to marry Joel she had to give up her fairy magic!
What scar is given is what the hero organization calls “synthetic magic” in which they claim to have managed to replicate certain hybrid DNA’s that allows people to use magic. However all I will say is that you really shouldn’t trust what the hero organization “claims”…

As you can or cannot tell, I got slightly carried away/influenced by the things happening around me when I was working on it so… yeah.

This is the second part of a two part birthday gift for @wildheskii !! (first part here) hopefully the long read from the first part is worth it for this finale!! <3
Here is the last image for their sona!! Kinda, not really, its just the actually last photos border more on au/costume territory which is… eh.
But yeah! Nothing much else to say about this one actually, the top sketch was a view of the back of Vilde’s head, specifically their bun which I figured is hard to see in my other sketches.
And actually, the way they draw their bun remind me of a cinnamon roll, which is kinda what I thought of when drawing it in my own style and how I kinda tried to show it as too lmao. Yummy!
And the bottom sketch is Vilde’s Sona in their intro page, just in my style and with no face!
Now onto the au/costume thing!! Aka. The return of that superhero/vigilante au/costume thingy I mentioned in the first part!!!!
This idea formed spiraled after I was watching Superman(2025) for the second time, so yeah…
As you can see most of it is design and posing stuff. Which I had based off of Batman and his Robins, they were like the largest influence. (Beware of an upcoming ramble about dc and design and stuff)
There are also some elements of minecraft, such as the chestplate thing, especially how it is shaped/pointed up at the top instead of being an allusion to the chest you see in Tims Robin design.
And speaking of Tim, remember my deer crashout at the end of the first part, well I was still kinda on that when I was designing the costume, so the tabi (I think that's what their called) shoes are mainly a call out to that, but they can also be one to Tims early designs.
In fact a lot of the design was based off of Tim, as I wanted to keep as many allusions to Vilde’s bird sona design, and Tim actually has a ton in his Red Robin costumes/designs. So that's kinda what the winged cape idea is from.
The hood with the little things poking from the hood suppose to reference the wings as ears from their sona! Although they look more like dog ears lol.
Now. I did try out a cowl option just because I know Vilde does like Batman, also cause I wanted to keep the bun with the hood so I needed to figure out if having a cowl would make it harder to be recognized in civvies.
And that's where those tiny ones come from, me trying out a cowl option, still with the wings that look like dog ears of course lol.
But I did use a reference of catwoman as that was more useful for me cause, well, Batman has straight up pointed ears while Vilde’s is down to the side ish.
And yes I still did include the bun because I don't think having their bun covered by a cowl would be practical/look good.
(Also I know they could just put down their hair down and have the cowl over that… BUT THE CINNAMIN ROLL BUN IS STAYING AND I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL TILL VILDE CHANGES IT >:( )
Now onto the thumbnails that I did for this au/costume cause I slightly got obsessed.
Ah yes, someone simply standing on top of a building as the moon gleams from above.
A dangerous and risky location to be for a normal civilian, luckily, [insert superhero/vigilante name] isn't a normal civilian.

The streets are silent, tense in anticipation, not a single person or thing daring to breathe or move.
A figure rushes past the opening of an alleyway! the moon casting a shadow into the darkness…

IM IN LOVE WITH THE SUPERHERO AU!!! Can I get some clarity on the panel with impulse being told to be moved to a less public role? I’m not sure I’m reading the reasoning right!

Yeah tbh I am not very good at explaining stuff, so sorry about that! Basically there are two reasons, one more true than the other.
In the concept art Impulse is given the reason that the public is just unnerved by a demonic hybrid being a hero. The government is basically given a lot of backlash for putting Impulse in a front line hero role, especially next to Skizz who is an angelical hybrid (something that the public is more open to).
Although this is one of the reasons Impulse was put on the technology instead of front line, it is not the only one. Impulse has a passive power that comes with him being a demonic hybrid, Specifically it is to devoid a room of its light. He is not affected by this power himself and it doesn't actually harm anyone that it affects, unlike skizz's power that causes damage to the eyes of those affected. This is not favoured by the government as they find Impulses power pretty useless and inconvenient.
They would usually not even debut a hybrid with this kind of power but it was necessary to be able to hire Skizz as he refused to do the hero gig without Impulse.
