Due to Tevildo's existence in early texts I headcanon that Mairon is beloved by cats. Eregion was home to many of them, and all of them longed to be his companion. So Annatar had some serious trouble avoiding the constant feline attention.

This is postcanon, TEAlegendAU. Should be the 4th Age but since Dagorrath happened early it’s actually Arda Healed. Mairon has gone through a 5-thousand-years-long redemption arc, and has been forgiven. Eregion is rebuilt. Things are good now.

But of course Celebrimbor can’t help but mess with Mairon’s guilt for the rest of eternity. So one day he gives him a cat. A spotted cat named Patterns, because both her owners have patterns too thanks to Mairon's past stupidity.

I love this. Also, is that an airship in the background? 😎. You can take the pilot out of the airplane, but you can never take away their Aviation Distraction Disorder 😜.

Mandos’s performance has been postponed, a revised schedule will be posted within 24 hours.

So, what is this all about?

ArdaVision is a fandom event where we imagined a song contest where Tolkien’s characters take the stage as contestants.

We’ve brought together 12 amazing artists to bring to life Elves, Ainur, Dragons and even Orcs, all singing their hearts out on the Contest stage. Plus, we went all out with a custom corporate style for the competition, added in some "exclusive" interviews with two very special reporters, and created a bunch of fun, behind-the-scenes "photos" that are definitely worth seeing. 👀

Starting November 20, we’ll be sharing all this stuff with you!

Who are we?

We’re a group of Russian-speaking artists, participating in Tolkien character ask project. The idea for this event came to us spontaneously, but we got so excited about it that we literally couldn’t think about anything else 😅 Now, we’re hoping to share at least a little bit of that excitement with you.
