Okay, so are we supposed to be completely unsuspicious of the fact that the last four un-imprisoned official members of the Black Family all mysteriously die within a year of each other… with the sole exception of Narcissa Malfoy?
What the fuck happened in 1991 and 1992 to kill off Arcturus, Lucretia, Cygnus, and Cassiopeia Black, while leaving Narcissa completely untouched? Lucius, were you poisoning people? Was Narcissa trying to inherit the Black Family fortune for some reason? No seriously, what was going on, guys? This genuinely looks like a conspiracy plot.
I saw something on this blog that says Druella put Cygnus under a love potion, but I don’t think that’s true. Druella and Cygnus genuinely loved each other, but they hated their children. They were too obsessed with one another to the point that the couple neglected all three of their daughters. The Black sisters grew up in a very emotionally and verbally abusive household. Whenever one of the girls upset their mother, Cygnus would hit them because of how they “disrespected” their mother.

I don't understand the appeal of having Draco change his name from Malfoy to Black. When it comes to Pure Blood Supremacy, the Blacks are worse. Bellatrix was known as a devout Death Eater, Regulus died a Death Eater, Sirius died as someone who betrayed his friends and was sent to prison for killing muggles (we know this isn't true but the average wizard doesn't), Narcissa may not have been marked but she is loyal to her family's ideology. That's four out of the five children in family. Andromeda was disowned for marrying a muggleborn. The Blacks were a family of extremists and deviating from the family's beliefs got you disowned and burnt off the family tapestry.
What is it about the Blacks that should attract Draco to it long enough to discard his identity as a Malfoy? What principles, reputation or resources does the Blacks have over the Malfoys that would make identifying as a Black better for Draco, even after the war?
All the black cousins are fucking insane and i refuse to believe anything else. Sirius is cocky af would jump off a roof with out hesitation for the thrill and people are so drawn to him thats others would to. Regulus Black would look death himself in the eye regard them as nonthing. Bellatrix Black has fate itself wrapped around her little finger and she fucking knows it, remorse is for people lesser then her. Andromeda Black spat in the face of the most powerful family in the wizarding world for something as small, at least to everyone else's eyes, as love. Narcissa Black went against everything she'd been taught and lied to the wizarding world's most dangerous man without flinhcing.
