Clan Dark-Blood started back many years ago, back when Sorienth was still fresh and new to some of the newly created dragons. Shadowblood, a rather brutal mirror, bumped into his future mate while hunting. After a little time together they bonded, hatched a nest, and formed their first alliance with The Moonchant Masquerade. The clan had been just as new as them, so with each other's help, the two clans grew in tandem as close as any allies could hope to be. Some time passed and the clans both continued to grow in skill, and size.

Long into their lives, the residents of clan Dark-Blood faced several trials. One of which had them displaced from their homes here in the woods, moving to the beach to seek help for their severe sickness. A lot of the clan members passed away from the illness while a cure was being sought out.

After quite some time, and with the help of several other clans, Truthseeker found the cure to the sickness. The cure had been assisted with by one of their allied clans, Posiden's Wake. With some tentative testing the clan slowly moved back into their old lair. Once everyone was settled in, the clan made an elaborate memorial to those who were claimed by the sickness near the front of the lair. Even the beast companions in the lair come to pay homage to those that passed.

Some years later, while expanding the clan's underground tunnels, the clan broke into an undergound section of the Hewn City. Among other many tunnels and caverns, Absinthe, the prophet, claimed that they needed to move further into them and make these new tunnels their homes. Annoyed, Shadowblood wanted to ignore her, but the signs they were getting within their home tunnels were becoming harder and harder to ignore. They expanded into these new tunnels, fortified them and made them their home. Parts of the tunnels still connect back into their prior set of tunnels in the Tangled Wood, but most of the clan live in the tunnels that were found underneath the Hewn City.

The Dark-Blood clan

- Only the Patriarch and Matriarch are allowed Birdskull headdresses coupled with Antlers.
- The Crown of Bones, at current, mark the most trusted member of the clan.
- The one wearing the Twice-Died Cowl is the clan healer and holder of most guidance, and is as trusted as the Crown holder.
- Anyone wearing a Birdskull headdresses without antlers is a trustworthy member of the clan, and act as representatives of the clan's values.
