In the chaos, Lucciana's mate was stabbed, Antimony. He died there in her arms and her anguished cries echoing. And that's when she vowed she'd never let her kingdom fall to anything ever again.

She steeled her heart and picked up both sword and staff, tapping into dark, forbidden magics that control the dead and the worlds beyond. Now she sits at the head of a dark council, each one as shrewd and cold as she is.

No one knows how she resurrected her lost love. Only that he is freakishly strong and silent, and no one dares cross him. His eyes glow with an otherworldly gleam.
