Lying awake at night staring at the ceiling decorated by frozen tapestries, the walls filled with pictures barely eligible in the low glimmer of the bluefire candle that wanes as the night progresses

As pondering fills the gaps in his soul, noticing something is missing

His claws grasping the cold floor, trying to get warm. Only grabbing his own tail in the process.

Nothing left of the warmth that once was.

but things were for certain was he was alone

He felt nothing more than alone as the night danced on, the sky adorned with an aurora.
a sight to remember,

He felt utterly defeated in its wake nothing more than a husk of the past.

Gazing at the vast tundra, wondering where he went wrong.
