All of us in the Light Flight believe that the truth must be shared... May the wisdom of the past persevere beyond time.

I'm still kinda new, so I'm low on supplies...

I've decided I want to make a light-based subspecies. I'm calling it Elf Dragons.
I've put the details here, so let me know what you think!

My goal to breed a Fey dragon with Primary Maize lace, Secondary Sunshine Paisley, and Tertiary White Smoke is going to be considered completed... Ice is close enough to White :P
So, my next goal will be to work on breeding dragons for all of the classifications of the subspecies I'm making. That means High Elves, Wood Elves, Rune Elves, and Horizon Elves.

Here's the statuses for the classifications:

High Elf: Endangered - Ara and Caltarie, siblings Passa, Fanyauur, and Uuvie
Wood Elf: Extinct
Horizon Elf: Extinct
Rune Elf: Extinct

I like putting together morphologies and outfits! Yes, I have way too many goals. No, I don't expect to get it all done...

Neighbors:
Preppycookie's clan

What other goals do I have? Well...

[*] Get a bunch of sunrise-themed dragons, call them the Sunrisers, cuz that's cool, and then come up with some lore to combine them
[*] Dustie breeding pair of my dreams! Let me know if you've got a female Moon/Radioactive/White derg!!
[*] Flight reps are boring... Double Flight Reps! Yes, a Flight Rep for every combo of two elements!
[*] Hoard shale... and pick a dragon to record my shale-hoarding progress! (Maybe open a Shale Shop and exchange items for shale?)
[*] I had a second idea for a subspecies! Toxin Hunters are gonna have to wait until Elf Dragons are done, but it should be a simpler subspecies that's easier to break into.

Thank you so much for the kind comment. @jaceofharts !
I was planning on posting more updates as comments on my userpage, and this is an excellent occasion to start doing so.

I finished geneing my G1 pair of sunrise-themed dragons, and now I've got their offspring up for sale. It's inspired me to make more progress on writing for the 'Sunrisers' dragons I've got, a group of sunrise-themed dragons linked by lore. My G1 pair still needs their outfits, but that's going on the backburner next to my many other projects.

I also (nearly) finished dressing my avatar dragon. She still needs one piece, but it's a gem rotation item. With that done, my next focus is on geneing some dragons for the Wood Elf subtype of my Elf Dragons subspecies. Some pricy gem purchases are in my future...

I also want to redo my Clan Info. Maybe by the time you're reading this, it will already be different than before!

Uh, that last one says High Elf, but it should say Horizon Elf.

That's about everything I need to gather. My next step is to collect all my thoughts together into a post and share it with the subspecies planning forum in Light Flight, as this is a light-based subspecies.

Horizon Elves live wherever the horizon can be clearly seen, so they usually settle along coasts. Out of all of the Elf Dragons, the Horizon Elves feel the call the most strongly, leading to restlessness. It's not unheard-of for a Horizon Elf to move residences every three years or so.
Horizon Elves prefer occupations and hobbies that let them travel as much space as possible, especially over the sea, as they hope that they may find some clue as to where the original creators of the elf runes may have gone. They are often messengers or seafarers.
Horizon Elves are noted for their vow, which varies between individuals. Each Horizon Elf chooses some action that they will never or never again do, and they abstain from it for the rest of their life. This can be large and serious, such as never taking a mate or never engaging in combat, or it could be more personal, such as never lying or only eating once per day.
Horizon Elves are the quietest and most far-spread of the Elf Dragons.

Each classification of Elf Dragon has an official name, being High Elves, Wood Elves, Horizon Elves, or Rune Elves, but they are each known by a few other names, none of which are incorrect or rejected by their members:

High Elves: Light Elves, Sun Elves, Dawn Elves
Wood Elves: Forest Elves, Wild Elves, Green Elves
Horizon Elves: The Seekers, Sea Elves
Rune Elves: Grey Elves, Stone Elves
(Rune Elves also call themselves High Elves, to the confusion of all others)

The Wood Elf classification, also called the Forest Elf classification, was the first group to separate from the High Elf classification, which was the first group.
The Wood Elves prefer a more natural lifestyle. They have multiple living sites throughout the forests of their home, and they regularly travel between them throughout the year.
They're energetic, often sprinting or flying through the dense undergrowth whenever the mood strikes them, and even adults will enjoy raucous games of make-believe together. However, a Wood Elf dragon that does not want to be found will not be found, as they are magically adept at slipping away without being seen.
The Wood Elf dragons don't get along well with the High Elf dragons due to the dispute over lifestyle that caused them to originally split. However, the two groups have more in common than they'd like to admit.

I think it makes sense to say that the allowed species will apply to all of the classifications.
I want to do the rune elf morphology next...
The Horizon Elves classification (which I realized I never actually posted about here???) needs a bit more time to cook... :P
