The day Daphne joined the clan, she had been traveling in the direction she thought was south. Quickly it became apparent that she never got better at following directions and she was in over her head in thinking she could be a solo traveler. The snow quickly was higher than her belly and she had to hop in order to move quickly through the tundra. She was becoming increasingly concerned that her flowers and butterflies would die in such frozen conditions when she stumbled upon the Permafrost Clan. Syrah greeted her warmly at the entrance, motioning for her to quickly follow. The matriarch chattered on to let her know that she could stay as long as she wished; whether that be for only a day or for forever. Relief washed over her body as Daphne was shown the secret garden. She thanked Syrah ten times over before basically running deeper into the cave. The further in she got, the warmer she became. I she had intended to make it south, to the glades. She was supposed to be in charge of the flowers and the pollination of those flowers with the help of her butterflies. That was until she ended up here. Her feet were sore, her belly was empty, and the butterflies had no desire in traveling any further. Her new plan became to rest here a few days and then move on, hopefully get herself turned around. That was until she spotted Marsh. Once they locked eyes, it was all over for her. It quickly became clear that she was fated to meet Marsh and was fated to live in the snow capped mountains. She fell head over heels for Marsh and quickly took over the job of maintaining the plants and flowers within the Secret Garden and couldn’t be happier. |
