They say that overlooking the fields just west of the Maw sits a being of pearl and gold. They say that on a cool autumn night, if you listen closely, you will hear their call.

“You have, no doubt, heard of the deal that I offer,” she says as she unfolds one wing. Golden disks hang off the silk draping from her wings, glistening in the moonlight as they sway back and forth from the motion. "Only those who willfully seek my presence may find me."

As the discs catch the moonlight just right, you glimpse different images in each. As you focus on one particular disc, you see a little girl. She’s beside her grandma, trying her best to help her bake with her tiny hands. The disc sways in the wind and dims for a moment, then catches the moonlight again, now showing the same girl in her teens, surrounded by family as they laugh and play games by the fireplace. It sways once more and reveals a final scene, of the girl in adulthood, hand-in-hand with her lovers.

You focus on another disk, and you see a backpacker— and as the scenes change, you notice they’re sometimes with others, but oftentimes alone— but regardless of who they’re with, they’re always in a different area, exploring the beauty of the world throughout their prime years.

“What you saw is what I offer,” she says, the clouds drifting over the moon and the images disappearing with the light. “Eternal happiness— at a small price.”

She folds her wing, concealing the discs. “If you accept, you will relive through your happiest days, forever. You shall never make new memories, but most importantly, you shall never know pain again."
