The Lunae Lumen
A Cult hidden away from the rest of the world.

“We are called blessed by our home, the desert sands and the pale light of the moon- Those that do not live among the dunes and under the earth call us many things, but most importantly, they say we’re myths. Tall tales meant to scare or for small entertainment at gatherings, not the legends and blessings that we truly are.”

“But among these tales that say us to not truly exist, lies our safety. None search for simple stories. If they found us they would take, like all rotten men do. They would see us only for the riches and land. And so, it is best they call us tales and nothing more. We've hidden away for many centuries underground in our vast homes, and we will continue to live here.”

“Above lies only pains, nothing good from that world shall blossom. And none of it shall step foot in ours. For they call themselves Kings, yet act like Gods, titles which neither they have any right over. We are not ruled by such things, such greed and hunger for a power we mortals can not possess. Nor will we ever seek such.”

The rules of those that the desert calls to.

° Respect the land. The desert and light of the moon above have watched over us for many many years, give due worship to them and the land we've been given to call home.

° All creatures that share the sands and night here with us are to be respected and worked with to the extent our two beloved gods have told us to.

° Throughout generations The Howls of the desert have been allied with us, they have helped us as we too help them. Watching for danger or searching for food for us, while we hunt and give them a share of the kill. All should know better than to dare harm or kill one of them. If a Howls kills, it is an omen.

° The world above is harsh and unfit for us. Venturing above is strictly forbidden, aside from the rituals we hold under the moonlight. Any that go up under the rays of the sun, shall be punished.

° No Kings. We have none and shall never have any. Far into the sun they'll burn forever.

° We are in peace and order. By our Unity, and higher-ups. They are the keepers of our peace and safety. Speaking to our Gods for us, keeping us hidden away from the evil of the world above.

° Ill words to each other, and especially our Gods, shall not be spoken. Be quiet. Be at peace.

° Give due worship to the moon and desert above. Rituals, prayers, and their utmost importance is written in the high priest's writings.

° The men above are not us, they are not our people, not our friends. They would seek to exploit and harm us. Have no contact with any of them.

° Meat of The Songs of the desert are forbidden to be eaten. If any are found wounded or already dead, give respect and let the sand reclaim it's child.

° We have survived for over a milliana by homes under the shifting sands of our land. These lands now have been claimed by foolish and greedy men, ones that would show cruelty to us. Remember well to stay far from them.

° A rarity among us is those with stronger connections to our desert and moon, these ones are made into our respected priests and higher-ups, whom read the grains of sand and the rays of the pale moon above. They bless us, as do they warn us. Respect them, they are closer and connected to our Gods by their very anomaly of having such abilities.

° Any who are found guilty of breaking one of these rules that have been made for our peace and protection shall be rightfully punished or even exiled by death.
