Biography

One of the three Lair Guardians, Ichimonji represents the Light Flight within the Clan. He is strong, brave and noble, always remaining neutral and grounded. His aura gives off a quiet tranquility that seems to sooth the whole lair with a constant sense of peace and solace. Ichimonji is held in regard as one of the highest member of the Clan, along with the other Guardians and Terk herself.

He can often be seen patrolling the outskirts of their lair, his white scales and golden eyes standing out brightly in the darkness. This doesn't stop him, however, and while he always tries to not fight, when there is no other option, he eagerly accepts the challenge presented before him. He stands stead fast with his fellow Guardians and between the three of them, so far, there has been nothing able to defeat them.

When he is within the lair however, he can be found either in his den sleeping or ironically enough, entertaining the hatchlings with stories and tales of all manner from across the realms. His space is usually littered with toys and plushies that he carefully sweeps aside with his tail.

Ichimonji huffed a sigh as he heard little feet pattering down the hall. Small claws clacked against the stone along with laughs and hoots and hollers of glee. Lifting his head, he raised his claw, carefully resting his pearl up and out of reach of the small dragons that were headed his way. He would bring the golden hued orb with him in to battle without fear, yet he worried the young ones would shatter it.

Settling down once more, he pulled his wings in close to his sides and buried his muzzle under the tuft of his tail as he closed his eyes. He could pretend to be asleep, but Ichimonji knew it would only deter the hatchlings for so long.

The clattering of tiny claws stopped at the entrance to his den and he dared to crack open one eye to peer through his fur at the youngsters. There were several of them, all manner of color and size shifting hesitantly on their feet. “He's asleep!” One of them whispered loudly and it took all Ichimonji had not to laugh as a young red Pearlcatcher smacked another in the back of her head for talking.

They all stood there, not quite sure what to do before once more the sound of claws could be heard on stone and the deep rumble of Shusui's voice could be heard as he approached them. Several heads whipped around as little jaws dropped open before they all screeched in fear, barreling over one another to get through the doorway before Shusui saw them.

Ichimonji picked his head up as all the little ones climbed over him to hide behind him and clawed their ways under his wings. “He's not going to hurt you,” he started as he looked back to the door to see Shusui's puzzled expression at the entryway. He waved the other dragon off with a flick of his claws and rolling his eyes, Shusui left, most likely off to patrol or discuss some matter of importance elsewhere. “There, see; I made him leave.”

Small muzzles poked out from under his wings and the red Pearlcatcher from before climbed his way back over him to roll to the floor. “I wasn't scared!” He exclaimed, puffing his little chest out and squaring his feet, his pearl held tightly to his back by his tail. “I knew it was Shusui.”

Ichimonji recognized the small hatchling as one of Kitetsu's and chuckled lowly. So like his father in many ways. “I am sure you were not,” he agreed, hiding a smile. “Come on, everyone,” he went on raising his wings and displaying the huddled hatchlings who were curled between his feet. “Out from under there and I will tell you a story.”

There were several excited yells as they all scattered about his den to start playing, including the red. Nodding to himself, he hummed low in his throat and tried to decide which story to tell them this time. He knew he would certainly be telling Kitetsu about his son the next time he saw the other dragon though, that was for sure.
