Celyn | Familiar Keeper
With over 300 Familiars - or pets, as Celyn likes to call them - the clan decided that a familiar keeper would be very useful. And who would be better match for that, than Celyn? He already took good care of his own little circle of familiars quite well and he was actually the first one to suggest a job like this. So... basically, his responsibility is to feed, pet and take care of the indivual ones who not yet have found a dragon they want to keep company. That's quite a busy job to be honest, but he loves it - in the morning he wakes up early and takes the few that decided to stay with him at the Pillar to the area of the clan at Cairnstone Rest and takes most of them for a good-morning walk. When they're really hungry they get food before that, but he prefers to give it to them after the walk since it takes some time. Of course he has to make sure that the familiars living in the big underground lake are happy too.

Celyn was really shy when he first arrived at the clan. He didn't really talk to anyone except Cheonsa and he always made sure he'd go with her, when she was about to pick up a new hatchling. This is also how he met Basil: Still shy, he went to the Southern Icefields with her to fetch him and they started to get along with each other nicely after this. Celyn was no longer overattached to Cheonsa, instead he talked with Basil for hours and hours - okay, it was mostly Basil who talked a lot about stars and the universe. But through that, Celyn began to grew personally and was no longer frightened to talk to other clan members as well. He still doesn't really like to be touched by others though, nobody including him really knows why. Maybe it was some trauma in his very young childhood, but he really doesn't want to remember that anyway. Next to Basil, his favorite dragon is Cheonsa. His next favorite thing are familiars, he already gathered a small number of the ones to keep him company regularly before he began working as the clan's Familiar Keeper. He has quite an affinity to animals and sometimes it seems that after the daily good-morning walk, he brought even more familiars back home than the ones he started with. Celyn also likes to decorate Basil's and his shared home on the Pillar with flowers - he brings them home from the daily walks and some of them have already been cultivated for the clan. Still, he is no specialist in regards of flowers, but he knows when someone (including familiars) is feeling bad might need some medical help. The Coatl is generally very friendly, loved by the other clan members and mostly never opens his mouth when he has nothing important to say. While he works the tunnels often pulsate in a cheerful and lively tune he hums. |
