Dragons don't necessarily know how to fly after their birth - how should they? Those wings are just really heavy and in the way of everything in the beginning, they have to learn how to use them properly to be able to fly. Some of them got more talent for that, than others - the clan's snappers for example are horrible at flying which is a pity since sometimes they'd love to visit the Earthshaker up on the Pillar. Still, most of the dragons are able to learn this mandatory thing at one point in their life and Cytherea is one of the dragons who usually teaches them. For their first time, hatchlings are usually really scared but once they saw how swift and easy Cytherea manages to almost float in the air, they are really enthusiastic about learning it too. The breath of life is in the sunlight and the hand of life is in the wind. Once, Cytherea was proud part of a Wind clan living all the way up in the Cloudsong. She liked it a lot there, to be honest and sometimes she still misses her old clan. So why exactly did she leave? She didn't really have a choice in this, when her clan was robbed and she and her Wind Sprite were the only survivors because she somehow managed to fly away way faster than the other dragons. To be honest, she still feels ashamed because she left her old clan like that, alone with the monsters that called themselves the Beastclans. On the other hand, the others tried to escape as well, so she shouldn't feel guilty. Anyhow, she managed to find a new place in Ladon's clan and with all her experience with wind and flying she is the first dragon in charge of the flying lessons for the younger ones. She's really patient with all of them and can answer questions about flying in just a few seconds. But even when the lessons are over she spends most of the time flying somewhere near the caves in the Cairnstone Rest and sometimes she even hovers over the ocean to look at how Tlaloc is doing with the fishing. She likes him a lot and he is the only dragon she opens up to about her old clan and what happened exactly.
