Twist

Nauta's guard-in-training, and unfortunately a bit of a failure. Twist is very passionate about protecting the clan, but she's so hyperactive she just can't bring herself to keep watch for long. Not to mention her hour-long naps that spring up uncontrollably, interspersed between uncontrollably wild bouts of energy, that make reliably guarding a lair somewhat challenging.

Unlike her mentor, who fights using her claws, fangs, and muscle alone, Twist wields an ice pick as her weapon. It's certainly a strange choice, but the Spiral surprisingly very skilled with it. Nauta once saw her bring down an immense, unruly Snapper trespasser with nothing but her ice pick and a lot of determination!

Twist finds great amusement in treating her fellow apprentice -- the giant, aggressive Ridgeback Kain -- like a total rookie. He joined the clan months after she began her training, so she has more experience than him. He's very gruff and distant, and it seems as though he doesn't care much for other dragons, but deep down he has a soft spot for Twist and her friendly attitude towards him.

Dragon bloodlines are weird and confusing. Twist's dad, Ishikk, is the son of Imriel and Frostflake. Nauta is the daughter of Imriel and Seafoam... so Nauta and Ishikk are half-siblings, sharing a mother but not a father.

That would make Nauta the half-aunty of Twist, I guess?

Twist and Nauta work with each other in tandem shifts, with Twist often working overnight -- strangely, that seems to be when she finds herself the most energized and hyperfocused. In her offtime, the Spiral has a whole terrarium of worms that she keeps in her room of the clan! She tends to them all lovingly, giving them the highest-quality leaves to munch on and lots of wiggle room.

It's very difficult to find greenworms, as they blend so well with the grasses that they feed in.
