Obscured by clinging vapor, Surunisse meditates on the tallest cliff of the Reedcleft Ascent. Swirling currents rush through the towering pillars, making the bamboo clatter and whistle, a howling song from which the solitary fae draws tranquillity. It is in this vast and tempestuous place that Surunisse learned to speak to the North Wind, and wield the swirling fog, and where she duelled with the rogue Hurricane Herald in a battle of mist and magic. The wise dragon has taken it upon herself to use her primal gifts to protect her homeland, living a simple life in her mountain cave until she is needed.

Each spring when preparations for the Mistral Jamboree begin, Surunisse leaves her remote home for the floating platforms of The Cloudsong to assist with the festival preparations. Though she can be serious, the fae looks forward to joining the celebrations each year with the rest of her flight, especially telling the younglings tall tales about the Windsinger and the other deities, and teaching the traditional papercrafts of kite and lantern-making.

As a long-time affiliate of the Fae Wizarding Order and their Representative of Wind, Surunisse is proud of her title, and speaks for all Wind dragon constituents sagely and fairly. Offering her advice and experience to young mages, the fae is a dedicated and respected Order member.

Fun fact: Surunisse roughly translates to 'Wind Maiden' in Quenya.
