Hanaru represents the Pinehearth clan, a reclusive collection of dragons who have taken an interest in the flight's waterways.

While The Forgotten pose an immediate threat to Lamplight alone, Hanaru believes that losing ground on Shadow Flight's border could lead to a larger war. Their main cause for concern is the wandering contagion infecting one of the rivers. Besides a risk for contamination, the death of several trees has dammed up an important water source which could lead to flooding and a more drastic change in the landscape. Hanaru calls for swift action against these trespassers, and a greater effort by all border clans to clean up and eliminate traces of Plague from the forest.
