 TREVELYAN L'AMOUR MERCENARY AND BARD «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» You can hear him coming first, usually. He's always humming a tune, strumming idly, mumbling along to something. It's always pleasant, earthy and humble. He's actually the son of a very famous musician in the Isles, though he didn't know that for the vast majority of his life. No, for most of his life Trevelyan was just a wandering bard, bringing in meagre amounts of coin and working alongside his mother to make ends meet. He would pick up work here and there, a courier one day, bounty hunter the next, straight up conman and criminal the next. And so he drifted, overspending his coin on gambling dens and pretty men. This debt would wrack up over time 'til there came a tipping point- when he was away, men came for him and settled for killing his mother. When he returned he was, as you'd expect, completely devastated. He would hire someone to enact revenge, a mercenary from this organisation called the Thanatos Syndicate. When they came, they did exactly as he requested. Impressed and, frankly, with nowhere else to go, Trevelyan tagged along with them on the way back. He's pretty damn popular. It's not hard to work out why- you can hear someone call for Red, get over here! and he'll happily oblige, regaling others with tall tales to pass the time. Friendly, outgoing, funny, he's dependable and the life of the party. As you'd expect, that means he's both a bad influence on others, urging them on to drink, party, spend, and also a bit of a mess himself. There's a great deal of unresolved issues and self hate that simmers under the surface of his smile, but you'd need a crowbar to pry him open and admit it.
