Today, something AMAZING happened! I saw the the dark sky become brighter and brighter through the skylight, until all I could see was white! It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!

The mortals watching me at the time were blinded (permanently, the poor things) so they couldn't see, but I could tell that it was someone (not something) that passed through the sky. I felt Her presence land not far from my chamber.

As She fell from above, I made a wish. And upon Her landing, I used what little strength I had to command my subjects for the first time:

"Someone broke into the chamber. I don't know how-- the security systems didn't detect anyone entering at all. I saw whoever it was standing on the walkway closest to Little Bird's face. They were talking, I know it. But I didn't hear a single word from either of them.

I went to press the panic button, but then I felt... this warmth on my skin, like the sun on a slightly chilly day. I realized it was Her gaze on me.

As Luminous come to absorb and grant the wishes of mortals, they remember those wishes in their Stellar Core, shaping their personalities and desires. When a Stellar Core is damaged, a Luminous will bleed light and the wishes contained within that light. A severely injured Stellar Core will cause confusion and instability in a Luminous, leading to its death.

prov does it out of benevolence while medea simply likes the honor and status
medea decides to establish her own kingdom to gain the admiration of more ppl
one day her own ppl attack her to obtain her celestial ichor. this makes her despise mortals
she is able to fly away into space (bcs shes a space dragon. duh) but she is seriously hurt and eventually ends up crash landing on another planet
prov senses his sister’s departure but does not follow her to help her
upon realization of this she swears vengeance against the planet(?) that betrayed her

There were different reactions to the Enlightening, as people have come to call it.

In one town, the entire town started waking up precisely at dawn, going about their day until sunset. The entire town, regardless of their daily routine prior to the event. For those visiting during the day, they might not notice anything strange-- but the town at night is where it becomes real weird.

Visitors staying at the town in the evenings report that the townspeople refuse to use anything that produces light. Candles, lamps, whatever else, all of it is off the table, the only exception being fire for cooking, or warmth during the cold seasons. The town became obsessed with "conserving" light-- they say it exactly like that, too. "Don't turn that on, we need to conserve it! There's not much light left," a mother might say to her kids.

Many on the other side of the hemisphere when the event occurred will say that they saw the stars blink out. And for just a moment, they saw what they were hiding behind the light.
