Artanis is a merchant, who sells the clan's wares at markets near and far. She can be very persuasive, and has good taste when it comes to what can sell well. She is, in many ways, similar to Louis in her bids to charm those around her, but she is far less frustrating about it. This is probably because she can read signals, and knows when she is making others uncomfortable. Or maybe it's because she can take 'no' for an answer... or because she has genuine class and intelligence... or perhaps its that her confidence comes off as charming, rather than arrogant. Well, whatever it is, she is well-liked within the clan.
_____Artanis has managed, unwittingly, to charm the rather shy Licuma, whose bids to court the Guardian are far too subtle.
_____Artanis works closely with Hiswe and Marilla, who sort through the clan's enormous hoard. Like her, they tend to have a good eye for what are useless knickknacks, and what is likely to be desired by other clans.

Namesake: Quenya for noble woman, known for being the father-name of Galadriel

_____"Hmm, I would say he is very well-behaved. He follows me around quite loyally as I sell my wares, which I suppose is nice. And he is quite self-sufficient; he never requires me to feed him, though he certainly doesn't protest the occasional insects I give him.
He has quite a lovely morning song which has lured many a dragon to my market stall, though it is quite upsetting when they try to eat him. But I can usually guilt them into buying something after those incidents, and he is so swift that they would have a hard time catching him."

I enjoy sourcing it, polishing it until it shines and then finding the perfect customer who wears it like royalty! Or better yet, I enjoy hearing my customers talk about the loved one whom they're buying it for. It is very sweet to watch even the most reserved of dragons become more animated when they talk about the ones they love."
