We must stand together or they will pick us apart until we're all in ruined pieces.

Named in reference to a trans rights group from the 70s founded by Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson. They believed in fighting for all lgbt rights rather than letting bigots separate us into more "palatable" divisions with the end game of making those remaining "good gays" easier to finish off after the rest of us (primarily the trans/gender-non-conforming T of lgbt) are out of the way. Never forget that anything done to undermine the T is just the easiest targets in the bigoted crusade against all of us. It's a divide and conquer strategy. They won't stop there.

The original STAR also provided housing and support to lgbt youth living on the streets. Also I love that the blue is stonewash (reminiscent of Stonewall which the founders of Star were on the front lines for).

Star the Skydancer will eventually incorporate the above into her lore in some way.

Axlotls symbolize primarily symbolize regeneration and recovery, able to regrow entire limbs and their spinal columns. They are studied for these reasons, helping our scientists unlock the mysteries of that regeneration for for significant medical advances. They are amphibious, their scientific name means "Mexican water demon." They are sneaky, and know how to hide well, curious, come in a variety of colours, and will fight back in defense of themselves. I chose Star for a free axlotl badge because her colours are the transflag that would look pretty nifty for a little axlotl symbol in the clouds :D
