Basking on a rock you find a regal veilspun with the comforting presence of an expert healer, warm and nurturing. Even so, he regards you in turn, a hint of mischief in his smile. When he speaks, his voice is deep and soothing. “I am one who exists betwixt the now and the yet to come."

Belenos continues. "My appearance is only a dichotomy if one forgets the sun, is in fact, a star, igniting the darkness, while casting shadows. We exist simultaneously. In fact, provided you don't already know, you might find it interesting to note that without the atmosphere of our planet, the sun would both provide light, while the sky remained black as night behind it, instead of this vibrant blue.”

I have determined that if anyone has a secret life as an indulgent fanfic and romance writer, it’s this guy. So reserved and composed on the outside, definitely doesn’t write under his own name.

This is probably less due to embarrassment, per sae, and more to do with desiring to maintain a certain mysterious and enigmatic aura in his day-to-day life and interactions with people he doesn’t know well (which is pretty much everyone). He is definitely a serious, life-long student of the universe, magic, and their infinite mysteries. He probably writes about this as well, notes at the very least. Tomes full of theories.





The following is for future, potential inspiration purposes on the meaning behind his name from a source I cannot link to due to FR site rules (emphasis and strike out mine):

When it comes to love, they are tender and affectionate but could conceal their sensitive nature behind a somewhat sarcastic attitude. Capable of grand gestures, they seek a soul mate with whom they could share everything in perfect spiritual and sensual symbiosis. The fact that they are characterized by the karmic 2/11 could make relationships a little complicated because they are terribly demanding, even though they are convinced that they already make a lot of effort!...

When it comes to choosing a career, Belenos are likely to be attracted to the following orientations, depending on their age (in effect, achievement on a large scale is made possible by the presence of their master number which only comes into play on reaching maturity): artistic professions, occupations directly related to the human being (the medical, paramedical and social fields, psychology and law...), in connection with avant-garde, fashion, the public, broadcasting, foreign countries or travel; a career in politics or a technical (electronics, information technology...) or research related profession. And last, but by no means least, their acute intuition combined with their analytical mind could be a real recipe for invention!"
