Grover

*Only flashes of memories remain*


He doesn't remember much from that night, he was a newborn after all. All he could remember from his infancy was reaching out with a small but swollen hand, reaching and touching something- someone.

That was many moons ago now. He now wanders the winding roads of the Northern Provence, Crestal Peak far behind them. As he grew, he was better able to look after his older brother, who was blinded after an incident that he refuses to tell him. They keep wandering and wandering, going through village after village. One night while travelling they stop at a local inn... they check in and rest for the night, the morning came all to quickly. It was barely 4am when a loud crash comes in trough the window.

This woke Grover up he peered though squinted eyes and saw a figure, more like a silhouette, the moon barely illuminating the intruders face. But for some reason, this figure seemed familiar... He didn't get much more time to ponder this as the figure picked up a large shard of glass... The man walked first up to Pan... his brother who was still in his slumber, the glass only inches away from his brothers neck.

He didn't know what to do... his hands just shook, but then his instincts kicked in...

He got up out of his bed, in a sprint he ran to his brothers side and pushed the imposter into the dresser, but they managed to get up quickly, then turned to him with the glass in his hand all he could hear was the intruder repeating over and over again-

'you should have died a long time ago'

It was at this point the imposter just... vanished... there was a loud bang and then he was gone. He didn't understand how it could have happened, it just didn't make any sense. The inn owner chose then to storm into the room and saw the turmoil in the room, the broken window and the shattered dresser. He told them they had to find a way to pay for the damages or he would call the guard on them... so they had no choice but to look for employment.

The only place they could find were as grounds keepers in a nearby territory, but at least they were safe, or are they?
