Arkeren is a massive, overwhelmingly strong Ridgeback who trains frequently in combat and flight alike. Another one of the mysterious transcendents, reincarnated beings from another world, she is unaccustomed to the word of Sornieth and is in a hurry to find her place--as well as a way to stand out among the crowd. She sometimes seems uncomfortable with her size and slowness, and can often be found training herself to be more flexible and agile in flight. Since her arrival at the Shellbound Clan, she has been an unstoppable force of energy and tenacity--and raw, inconceivable mischief.

Energetic and troublesome, Arkeren often causes chaos for the clanmates around her, but does so with love as if she believes she's just found a group of best friends. Of all the Shellbound clan members, though, she has taken a particular interest in Gaia. Upon meeting her while training to combat the Lightning Flight in a dominance battle, Arkeren immediately declared herself completely loyal to the spirited Mirror--and though she has never stated it out loud, the way she acts towards Gaia makes it seem as though she truly recognizes her.

She travels freely around the clan territory, often inspecting everything with curiosity and reading any book or scroll she can get her gargantuan talons on. Arkeren behaves almost like a cat at times, which can land her in hot water when she accidentally knocks someone's things off a table or decides to take a nap right in the middle of other dragons' rooms. When she's at work, though, she serves as one of the clan's strongest warriors--although she would usually prefer to fly rather than to fight.
