Biography
Adventurous, resourceful, energetic: Ignis had the spirit of fire into his bones from the very beginning. Born to caring parents in a small lair, the young Skydancer began filling the atmosphere of his home with his joyous energy even before he was a grown dragon. In early adulthood, his extraordinary affinity with his element led him to study fire magic. By the time he could hold his own on a battlefield, restless Ignis already was eager for more, and he decided to leave his clan in search of new adventures.
Hearsay around the continent led him to travel east, to the domain of Stormcatcher. An exciting rumor beckoned him to the heart of the land: a long-abandoned factory seemed to have come to life without any explanation, and its denizens were as terrifying as only fine-tuned technology can really be. As he crossed the Carrion Canyon and sought shelter for the night in Bernadette's lair, Ignis' mention of his sinister destination sparked everyone's interest.
The leader of the clan's warriors, Elias, talked to him about numerous expeditions to the Golem Workshop, and described how even the strongest of his companions had returned with at least one or two battle scars. Not even Corvus, who had kept them alive with his magic, could get his fearsome water spells to cut through the ranks of the crazed golems. Ignis, ever craving a challenge, listened intently, and his eyes lit up with an idea.
Nothing can make things brittle the way fire does. He offered to join the fight, as long as Corvus could teach him healing magic. Everyone went to sleep with enthusiasm in their veins.
Today, Ignis calls the clan his home, and his powerful magic has fueled countless expeditions to the Golem Workshop. His skills have gifted the clan riches untold - including Ember, a sweet little mouse which followed him home one day. His fame is growing among the Lightning clans, and some even whisper that he once tamed a terrifying ice contraption...
